@40:55. that corned beef sandwich rivals the old Carnegie Deli, on 7th Ave. and 56th st in NY. A KZbin the proprietor, Mr. Levine, shows Joan Nathan how to eat the monster sandwich. Sadly, the deli closed.

In from the UK. The only reason I heard of Cleveland was Harvey Pekar and the Cleveland Indians/guardians. But this and the diner video really makes Cleveland stand out. It seems like a very working class place, sort of like Lincolnshire and Yorkshire here. Not a rich or trendy place, but full of really cool people

The comments on this KZbin video are hilarious. There are maybe 100 different ways to run a deli restaurant. Taste in food is a lot like taste in art, some people like it and some people don’t.

Lettuce and tomato on corned beef and pastami? Why not just add some mayo? Only in the mid-west would this be called a deli.

Not every place in Cleveland does that. Yes there are some very midwestern wasps here but there also a lot that try to stay true to their ethnic roots as well.
