I wish we had many more common sense ranchers like this lady. Great attitude and outlook.

Living in bear country is like climbing over a zoo wall.

Please delist the bears, they are doing well and their numbers are very stable for a healthy population. Let the states manage them, as these are the people who live there and understand the issues better than those living far, far away. Wolves are doing fine, since delisting. Wolf numbers(1550) are very stable in Idaho where I live.

Ranching in the rockies is a dangerous business, if you can’t accept the fact that predators share the environment its best you try ranching in the east

If you’re not living there, you shouldn’t be voting on issues that affect the people that live there. If you want to put them in your high-rise concrete jungles do it for yourself or shut up.

The question isn't about predators in the west, it is about how many? 1550 wolves in Idaho enough? How about 15000? How many bears are enough? Enough for a good healthy population or one behind every tree?

@@idaho2ndgens240 I would flip that and ask, how many are too few?

@@brucepoole8552 That is an easy one, with wolves a 150 breeding pairs is needed for full biological diversity in Idaho. With Grizzlies, 2000 in the western states total.

Humans have been around for a long time too.. Tree huggers forget that there is a reason we don't like other "Predators." Maybe one day you'll see how Humane it is when a grizzly lovingly eats you

It’s easy for you to say that but just so you know the bears, cougars, and wolves probably lived where you lived long before. Typically, those that say what you did live in cities/metropolitan areas where these animals once roamed before the metro area existed.

People hunt from the beginning of time! Bears hunt. Why can't people hunt? Almost every living thing hunts for something. I was born here and I'm not leaving! You expect everyone to live in the city? Can you imagine? They are already overpopulated.. you don't even know what you're saying!

it comes to the point where we need a LIVESTOCK RIGHTS ACT to counter the endangered species act. the bears have more rights than sheep, cattle, goats, etc. and livestock provides us with things we actually need to survive. grizzly bears don't. makes no sense to me. if there are grizzly bears are on private land killing livestock, the ranchers should have every right to take them out. if the FEDS want some proof of the bear killing activities, the rancher can take some video or pictures of the dead livestock and have it ready to give to the feds in case they investigate. that is all any rancher should need to do to take out a killer bear. getting permission from the FEDS to kill the bear is nuts. and I don't see why they can't just delist and then monitor the grizzly population and if it gets to low, put it back on the endangeries species list. if anyone says that can't be done, I call BS on that.
