I was in my high school band and for our Christmas concert, we always played Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride," a very American rendition of a ride in the snow. Delius's version is more European and a treat to listen to. It brings back fond memories of days gone by.

A short piece a little bit different at what we were accustomed in Delius music , it seems to be a winter night in Christmas time, the beginning is a little bit similar to the first movement of Mahler 4th symphony. Beautiful thanks.
