This film is known for banjos and "other stuff" but don't dismiss it just on account of that - this film is beautifully shot and has some amazing acting and character development. As A child (80's) this was the only movie my parents dident allow me to watch. Nowadays it's nothing compared to what has come but when it was made it was something different. All actors get my thumb up anyways...

Worth the watch if only to be able to appreciate Martin Short as 'the kid from Deliverance' on SCTV... unless you're Lucille Ball. Edit: My mom even had the soundtrack on vinyl. Naturally, I had to get a copy on CD. No bank robbery getaway is complete without Eric Weissberg's rendition of Little Maggie.
