Great video. Some tips for anyone that might need them: The case screws (unlike the battery screws) don't remove fully from the case, they just "unlock" from the rest of the laptop, so they don't get lost. Once those spin freely, it's unlocked, but you might notice a couple didn't unlock while prying up the case -- just unscrew a little further and you're fine. When removing the case, you don't need a spudger -- you can just pull up on the case from one of the loose screws using pliers to get a credit card wedged in there, then slide it along the edge and it should pop up each "snap" connector. Where the cable attaches to the battery, when removing, make sure you grab all the wires under the tape firmly at once while removing to prevent pulling a wire out of the harness. Just very firmly squeeze the tape (front and back, not side and side) while removing. The tape might pull back a little but that's OK, just push it back down the best you can after reattaching to the new battery. If your new battery has tabs on the bottom (not all do) you need to "lever" it in, bottom first, or else the bottom doesn't sit down all the way. This can lead to the case appearing to bulge afterwards. If in doubt, "lever" it in anyways, as it won't hurt if you don't have the tabs. Mine didn't recognize the battery on my first attempt. It turns out that where the battery cable attaches to the motherboard, needed a firm pressure to fully seat into place. It looked fine at first glance, but each side of that part visibly slightly pops into place when you give it more pressure. If you have a flat, non-conductive, non-static-generating surface to place the laptop on, you can test it before placing the case back on (but after attaching the battery screws). A good surface would be the case itself, flipped around so that the inside is facing your desk. If you're nervous about this, just attach the case, because at worst you just need to open it up again. If your case doesn't close all the way afterwards, make sure all the "snaps" are connected -- just go around the edges of the case giving it a good squeeze one section at a time. Sometimes you can feel it pop into place, sometimes it just seems to move.

1:00 Pro tip: you don't have to pry off the bottom lid of the laptop if your old battery is so puffy that it just pops it up as you unscrew the screws! That was my case! 🤣

Thanks Mate. Replaced and good to go. What I discovered though is, in removing the casing it's simpler starting from the back and then when replacing, slide in from the front.

Even with this 'problem', its still faster than a Stinkpad. Good machine. Don't listen to the techs who say its trash. These are rare defects that are not widespread.

i dont understand why all of this batteries come without cable. I bought on Ebay Dell e7390 without battery, and in fact it was very hard to find this cable itself, only 1 seller on aliexpress have it. My previous was Dell e6430 and its battery is magically good, after 8 years i have 54% left and it holds good 1.20-1.50 hours, hope my new chinese battery dont die in 3-6 monthes
