What's wrong with some of those people here? Comparing a 600$ laptop with a MacBook Pro...That aside: Whatever was wrong with that machine of the reviewer or with that of Jason, it's not normal. I have the laptop in front of me, Browser is running a KZbin HD video, Facebook is open, Netflix is running, Windows Store and Wheather app also. The windows are open because of the heat, it's 28°C in here and I have to hold my ear to the laptop to hear if the fan is running at all. Concerning the screen: It's very very good for a laptop this price. Colors could be a little more vibrant, but for 600$ this is as good as it gets. Also, despite the color gammut being not too spectacular, the colors shown are pretty accurate. I have a refference class screen to compare it to and I would even do some light photo editing on the little one if necessary. And: there are no "grainy whites". What the heck? Go see a doctor!

I have this computer and the screen is fine for me. IDK what yall are talking about. only thing I would change would be a core i5 instead of i3, but I can get that in a different model with all the same specs. upgrading the 4gbs of ram to 8, 16, or 32 is no problem and an easy fix. i recommend this computer

listen, i have this leptop in the newest version and the screen is great. no problams at all for me. the only downside weich is small is the fact that the battery life isnt that good. its fine. if your planning on getting one, go do it.

I bought this today i5 8250u, 8GB/256SDD in Hong Kong, and i must tell you that the screen reflects the back light onto your eyes. Rest seems good.

I bought this one four months ago. Highly satisfied with the laptop. It's a cute, durable laptop with good performance. Display is nothing like this, probably they fixed it in later models. I would buy it again!!!

There's no way that they can say a TN is a screen "with wide viewing angles," especially on a 2-in-1. They don't mention wide viewing angles won the 3000 series 2-in-1s, and I know those are TN (and therefor totally unusable in any of the "yoga" configurations.

Ellis Warmington I ordered the late 2016 model; hope they fixed the bad screens but have little hope since Microsoft has been pushing out 4 versions of the Surface Pro with exactly the same issues. It's the world we live in. manufactures know they can do this because of market fragmentation. selling devices that differ in hardware over a wide demographic insures they can never be held responsible for their choice by too many people at the same time. It's evil but brilliant at the same time and I can't deny I would have done the same thing. We act and talk as if these companies are stupid but fact is, they know us perfectly well and adjust the quality of their devices to match our idiocy.

I bought one of these Dell laptop from Costco. After it updated itself it stopped working. I am returning it back and buy a HP. I also bought a G7 from Amazon. My G7 ( Dell gaming laptop) crashes a lot. HP lasts longer and it is more reliable.

Let's see, the newer model's core in here is a core i5-7200U. It has 8GB of RAM (which is good for a lot of games), a 1TB HDD (or 256GB SSD, if that's your preference), Intel 620 graphics, and a 1080p screen. I will say from experience that it can run GTA 5 at 720p medium settings with 30fps+ depending on what you're doing. Overwatch: low settings at 30-40 fps. If you're looking to play some casual or games on a lighter load, like Rocket League and CS:GO, it can play those pretty good. Overall, it will play games, but don't expect it to be amazing.

My question as well. It seems that every brand tries to cheap out on one or more things regardless of the price. My last device was a Surface Pro 1 and the amount of problems bugging me were astronomical. 3 versions later and the SP4 still has the same bloody issues as the 1 which just tells me that the people behind thebrands found out that people will buy their crap even though they know there are things wrong with it. Sad.

Yeah nice laptop to brush teeth and shave yourself in the morning. The screen is disgrace. My stats: returned 4 laptops this year including 15 5000, I can start reviewing as well. Still staying with 7 year old vaio VPCF11 screen beats them all. The best stuff I've seen for this price range is Asus Zenbook UX330 , but guess what I just returned it as well! Because the touchpad from time to time lags to the halt point and the fan on low rpm sounds like a helicopter landing(something is hitting the fan at these speeds). How to buy decent laptop nowadays I have no f clue.

I bought the inspiron 13 5000 and less than a year it became slower than my sister 2 year old MacBook pro. Other laptops might be expensive with less gb but it is worth it.
