I used this video to fix hinges and bezel on same laptop. Thank You. I could not remove the sticky strips without destroying them. Didn't replace them. No big deal.

Good call with a power button discharge. I have never done that because I never remember to do it since we don't open laptops for a living but I'll remember next time when I install my RAM on the new laptop sometime this week.

Not needed for RAM upgrades

I'm pretty sure you're always supposed to discharge flea power whenever you touch the ram. OR go to the service document that dell puts out on your laptop model that describes how to put it in service mode so you don't need to remove the battery and discharge residual. better safe than sorry

I replaced the hinges and battery. I'm now having issues charging the new battery. When it's plugged in the battery is actually draining instead of charging. Do you know why this would happen?
@ItsBinhRepairedАй бұрын
Possibly bad charge port or charger. Does it show it's plugged in?

What do I do when the screws don’t want to come out?
@ItsBinhRepairedАй бұрын
@epicm999 use the right sized screwdriver, push down and twist harder? If you stripped them, then you need a screw extractor. If the nut underneath is spinning around, then you need to pry the screw up as you unscrew it, or break it.

Hi, I wanted to ask if this model that I also have has an i3-1215u processor which supports memories up to DDR5 at 5200 MHz, but can I mount DDR5 memories at 4800 MHz on this Dell Inspirion 15-3520 laptop? cabbage.

I SO wish laptop CPUs could be replaced as easily as Pcs are. It is my practice to buy the machine of my choice with min SSD & min RAM and upgrade them myself saving me a bunch of $$. DELL wants $210 to add 8G more ram that I can buy on AMZ for $80.I sure wish I could buy an i3 machine and upgrade the CPU with a black Friday hotter chip. !

You wouldn't be able to because the socket type would be different.
