In terms of gaming performance, stability, long-term survivability of the laptop, would you say this one is the best choice for the $1000 price point? I think the bigger battery will really help the laptop last longer, that's why I'm leaning towards this one.

I would say yes but also to seriously consider an alienware at 1100 USD they have the best build i have seen for a more affordable gaming laptop but at the spec price point the dell inspiron will have better specs.

There is a bracket for the 2.5 HDD/SSD, it’s at the front edge of the laptop. Unscrew that, attach it to the HDD/SSD, and then screw back in.

Hey. Here in my country, the 7567 they sell doesn’t go with the new ips display but the old tn panel. Its the same everywhere. Do you think it’s still worth buying the 7567 with the tn panel? you will be fine with the tn panel when not comparing it directly its hard to notice the difference. remember these are affordable gaming laptops you are talking about here you cant expect all the quality to be perfect. to be frank i dont think it would make a big difference i would say get it and try it out if its a deal breaker you can always get a different laptop and sell what you have.

have you experienced some windows 10 freezes in opening context menu, firefox or chrome or clicking on the battery icon ?? the problem is related to nvidia optimus, it triggers the dedicated nvidia gpu and that's when the lag appears? I had an almost identical spec wise HP Pavilion Gaming Power which had that issue and i returned it on the second day I got it...Also, other brands have identical issues which use Nvida Pascal GPU's and Intel 7th gen CPU's.

+al G. The alienware is a better built laptop it's sturdy and has a killer design but your getting an additional 8gb of ram that's really useful in the dell. However the additional 8gb ram will not help you in gaming and is not useful yet. I would get the alienware if you want a better built laptop. Personally this is what I would choose. However if your gonna do any kind of work the 8gb ram could be help if you choose the dell. For just gaming I would get the alienware.

I just got this laptop this last week. The hinge feels pretty sturdy. I don't think anybody's going to truly have an answer for you unless they test the hinge on multiple laptops hundreds of times though. Also, if you open it from the center you should have close to zero flex.

you know this is a great machine, however if your doing music production it might better to get a razor blade pro 2021 model or a macbook because they have very good speakers for music production. probably with a lot of gmaing laptops is the speakers sound terrible usually, another words its actually rare to have good speakers when you do youll know right away because its crazy how often I been burned by gaming laptops.

The SSD will increase your computers speed by about 5-10x this is an insane speed upgrade. if anyone has a computer its one of the first things I tell them to upgrade. Please make sure you upgrade this. The ram can also increase speeds by about 2-3x of course thinking about it in terms of speed is just one thing, when you have a normal hard drive disk like what you have now its so darn slow this technlogy was made a long time ago and is not reliable it has a limited life span and most drives die after about 5 years its a ticking time bomb get rid of your hdd as fast as possible, they start to slow down before they die. think of the ram as a table for a human to do homework on. the bigger the table the more work you can do simultaneously. Some computers have such a small table that they can only run 1 application at a time they get so slow. So upgrade that ram and ssd and if that doesnt help its time to repaste your cpu/gpu. Oh yes it will run all of those games very well except one... Can you guess which one? RUST, thats one game thats been fairly hard to run for a while now. It has been some time so there may be a chanc that the 1050 ti will run it decently but not perfect like you will with tf2 and csgo. This is because rusts system requirements are high, make sure you get a machine with 16gb ram. if you purchase this with 8gb, plan to upgrade and add another 16gb I can help you with this just stick around and ill show you how, this machine is great I would still get it even if you need to upgrade the ram. There is this awesome game called Natural selection 2, you should check it out! Because you said you answer to all comments!!!!!!!! Dog I bought this exact same laptop today, (i5 7300hq - GTX 1050ti - 8.2gb RAM). There's not a single tweak done to it, I'm running it at default. I have the laptop's ''high performance battery power option'' on, and I've been playing Overwatch. The game's graphics are set to high and I normally play at 60+ FPS, but I get insane stuttering when both fighting teams are at the same place battling. Is this normal? I ain't even playing on the game's EPIC settings. Btw - Is is possible to overclock the GPU, or upgrade this computer in any way without buying -''not included''- computer parts? I just want the best performance I can get from this thing.

Wow this is great question! keep them coming! Can you explain in more detail how its slowing down? If I had to guess it could be that you need to replace your hard drive storage, do you know if you have an SSD or a HDD? if its an HDD its time to replace it and get an SSD this will speed up your computer almost 10x no joke. If you already have an SSD it could be that your storage is getting full check that, if its not that then it could be that your machine needs to be repasted and the thermal paste is getting old. Sometimes this paste gets old and starts to crack and it doesnt conduct the heat and the machine overheats and thus slowing you down. The other thing could be that in 4 years time the ram requirements may have been heighted by windows and other applications you could also consider a ram upgrade. @@SERGE_Tech it takes forever to boot up, open pages, windows, etc. at times. Also I have been unable to play Fortnite at all for maybe 3 weeks now? I get major lag and my FPS drops constantly. It is not my internet because I am connected via ethernet and it checks out in speed tests. I believe I have an HDD, I have not upgraded or changed anything. According to my specs I have an i5-7300 @ 2.5 GHz. And 8 GB of installed RAM (7.87 GB usable). If I were to get an SSD do you have recommendations? I did see you mentioned some in the video but I'm not sure if you've changed your mind or things have updated since then. Thank you so much! I am subscribed!

@@elisugiura8918 I know this is an old comment, but you could try upgrading the hard drive to an nvme ssd. Samsung makes good ones that are very fast. This will help boot time and load times in games. Also you could get another 8gb stick of ddr3 ram. They're still easy to come by, just check to make sure whatever you get is compatible with a laptop. These upgrades should make the computer run faster and perform better in game.

Check your gpu and cpu temperatures to see if they get high record what they get when the machine is lagging at zero fps tell me here what the temps are I will tell you if you need to replace the paste. There is a chance that this is what needs to be done. Paste does go bad sometimes. Its also possible the components inside need to be replaced. Try reaching out to dell to see what they will say. I am still here standing by to help get me those temps if possible.

I love this computer and i bought it after watching the video, however I don't know where to find the parts to upgrade, any recommendations?

+Wishin your local pc store or any big branch computing/electronics stores should have parts like data drives and laptop ram. But if you continue to have a hard time finding it try maybe just like purchasing online and having it get delivered. It's also possible you may not need the upgrades now but maybe a couple years down the road.

I think you should take apart the machine by watching a guide or on a website see how to ensure if the screen connectors are properly inserted its possible a connector is loose. Although I dont want to give you false hope, usually after a drop if the screen is messed up its probably time to replace it. I am here to help if you need additional guidance. Let me know where your at and what you have tried so far.

Hey Serge!, first off awesome video, it helped me alot. Seeing actual footage of how games perform on the laptop was also amazing (most people just give numbers). I have been debating hard core between this Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming (with the 256 SSD and 1050ti) and the lenovo y520 (also 256 SSD and 1050 ti) and I was wondering if you could help me out or are you going to do a comparison or a seperate review on the y520? Hello! I see you keep recommending people the Alienware instead of paying 1500$ for this. Is the battery life as good as in this model? I need the best battery life for normal use as possible and this Dell seems like my best bet. I'm going to buy a model with 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD and 1TB HDD and i7 7700HQ for around 1450$. Alienware in my country is very expensive and I don't know if I could get it within this price range... But in terms of battery life, is this model my best bet?

well the best bet model in your case is based on battery life. if you upgrade the components they take up more battery. 8gb ram vs 16gb it will deplete extra battery however if i was you i would still keep the current setup as its quite good. also having a hdd depletes battery as well so you could just opt for an ssd. hdds spinning hard drive disk is on a motor which eats up some battery. all in all though i think you have a pretty good setup.

Not sure if you have requirement on portability or not, if portability is important to you, go for XPS (yet expensive), but if you want cheap and acceptable portability solution, this is it. I went for a model similar to yours but with 512GB and 4K screen for $1300, and I went on adding another 16GB RAM and 2TB HDD. The battery life of mine became less due to all these additions, but I got a solution for it. I had a 185WH power bank that is designed to be able to power laptop at maximum 65W, although this machine requires more power, but when you not using the 1050Ti, in other words, you are not gaming, that power bank will work, it might not charge the laptop battery but power will be drained from power bank instead. 185WH is huge compared to included 74 Wh, and it cost me only 100 bucks where DELL companion power bank cost similar but with much less power.

okay so i have this same laptop and its been great for about 3 ish years but now its really starting to slow down for me. idk why. i understand overtime computers slow down but for me its kind of more unexpected than i thought. my performance in games ex. minecraft has gotten really bad i used to play with shaders and get around 200 fps-ish and now i can barely pull 60 on the lowest settings. ive tried all optimizations. i was wondering if theres anything i could do to get back the old performance i used to be able to get on this laptop?

+Mustafa Scentwala if they are priced the same in your country the omen is better it has more ports a better design and better keyboard and trackpad. However because the omen is more expensive usually, I would say they are evenly matched. The dell tends to have the same if not better specs but worse design. If you like the minimalist look of the dell I'd pick that but for the price the dell is the clear winner if your in a situation where both are the same than pick the hp omen. Have you made your decision yet? if so what did you decide on? I would get the machine with the 1650, all the 3 brands are fairly equal get the one that has the best aesthetics to you. The nitro is what I would pick because its so light, although the build quality does suffer a bit on these machines. I want this to be the best tech channel possible if you have questions I am always standing by to help out, If you haven't already subscribed I highly recommend it.

If you play fps games i5 and i7 it will be very little fps difference as those kind of games depend more on gpu. So it depends on how you gaming, thats all. Correct me if im wrong.
