Yeah, I get it. The setup process took forever. They load it with so much garbage that you don't need. Performance is good for most tasks but not great for video editing. I would say go with a model that has more RAM and NOT Windows 11.

I just set up my new Inspirion Plus 7640. I plugged in the charger. My question? How do I find out if it is fully charged or where to check battery level please? Thank you

Hi Diane, Sorry for my delay! I somehow missed your question. The battery indicator is in the bottom right next to the clock. Let me know if you don't see it and I can tell you how to enable it.

Fun run through of Inspiron 16 Plus, thanks. You're charging in the Thunderbolt port, which is one of the annoyances with this model. The included USB-C (only) charger is tying up the one Thunderbolt port when there's a a barrel charge port right there instead of a 2nd USB-C port for charging. And with the Intel integrated graphics the HDMI port is limited to 1.4 so you can't run 4k decently off HDMI. Both these issues require an expensive TB dock to use even one 4K monitor and charge at the same time. Going with the NVidia discrete graphics to get the better HDMI 2.1and half decent 4k frame rates, the price increases 35%!

@@jimmyjames2022 Right I hate that the ports are so limited. I bought a fancy laptop stand I found on TikTok Shop that allegedly adds ports. I’ll unbox it this week but seems almost too good to be true. We’ll see! Glad you enjoyed the video.

I got a regular Inspiron 16 (non-plus) a few weeks ago, and this one is very similar to my regular one from the previous generation (Inspiron 16 5630). Mine looks very similar to yours but with gray keys. It also has the two speakers on the sides. It's not as well specced as yours being the regular one though. I only have a 1080p display, a Core i5 and only 8 GB of RAM but everything else is the same.

@@LuisCalix-t4k I’m happy with it so far but have been having a heck of a time getting it to network w my main PC. Video editing in CapCut is surprisingly zippy which is why I went w the higher end model.
