The part that I'm having problems with, separating the palmrest from the bottom, was OFF CAMERA. The only part that is actually important is missing. I see others complaining about this. If you're going to do a video, make sure the camera is ON THE WORK the WHOLE TIME.

I noticed it's under the keyboard and that metal piece underneath it but it seems like in all these videos people unscrew things from the bottom as well

no... it's integrated. laptops are different than pc. Most laptops dont have their own dedicated gpu. Most are integrated, like i3/i5/i7-xxxxM

As far as hdd goes it doesn matter, the biggest size in a comercial 2.5 inch hddd is 4tb, and with ram the max size is 16gb (8gb x2) of ddr3l at 1600mhz. A tip i can give you is, remove the optical drive and install a caddy, buy an ssd of 240gb and install your os and most used files in there, then, in the caddy you install the hdd. I have the same model of laptop and i have a 120gb ssd and the stock hdd

Mahmudur Rahman kzbin.info/www/bejne/lZ-WfHaghr53fqs I saw that video, the only thing to consider is that the caddy Is sata 2, so i recommend to place the ssd in the original area of your laptop and the Hdd into the caddy, otherwise you would be losing bandwith if you place the ssd into the caddy

To play some corny, cutesy music and NOT explain what you are doing and maybe offer some warnings of common mistakes during disassembly - like the ones you make here - over-stressing the hinges and risking serious scuffing to the lcd back? Very amateur stuff, here. This needs a major re-do. First, people need to know that after you remove the critical hinge screws for this machine (and one of them is under the keyboard) that you shouldn't adjust the screen angle or you could break the hinge mounts. You have first-timers watching these videos. If you know what you are doing (and I've done this dozens of times) you know that what you should do is help them understand what you're doing and what not to do. Put down an anti-static foam to protect the lcd back if you're going to lay it on its back. Nice, shiny surface like that could look pretty rough the way you're sliding it around. You should re-do this video - and do it right. Kill the music. Talk us through it. And work on that camera action! Wow, out-of-focus and in too close...can't see half of what you are doing. Do you rehearse these? I don't think you do. That's important.
