My power supply jack physically broke. The center piece fell out when I unplugged it. This video was very helpful in showing how to get at the jack. Aside from seeing which screws and cables needed to be removed, I'm pretty sure I would have broken the rear grille while trying to remove it. Thank you very much for the video. (I went thru it very slowly and carefully and it took me about an hour and a half. Now having done it, I feel like someone that's done it a couple of times, could do it in about 20 minutes.)

I have to replace the battery in this unit and your video helped a lot . I figured while I'm in there I might as well increase the memory to 16 gigs as we all know dual channel mode is always better

Thankyou for the tutorial. It helped a lot. I replaced my DC jack instead of repairing it. When I re assembled the laptop it powers on with no display and the fan runs at full speed. I have opened it back up twice and can't see anything that I have forgot to attach/ didn't attach properly. What do you reckon it could be?

I have to work on the exact same computer but I believe my daughters only has a normal hard drive but I am hoping I can change it for a ssd and if the m.2 slot is there I can add the boot drive to the m.2

Might sound crazy but you actually could have fixed the problem worth lose jack if you just found the bracket it looks like it was not there when u opened

The jack was not broken at all just the bracket that holds it in place that’s why it was moving around

Lost a few lock in plastic tabs. Lets see if she works now I suppose.
