Dell Inspiron P66F Battery Replacement

A Client of ours had a Dell Inspiron Core i7 laptop that shutdown after 15 - 60 seconds when running on battery so asked us to change it. This is a fairly straight forward process and after examining the battery it's clear to see why.

Thanks, glad to see you had as much trouble removing the case cover as I did. Also like when I had a screw left over I was able to go back and see where it went.

What model the battery is?

Sir ! The cable which connects battery into motherboard is damaged . ( All the 10 different wire cover fell of ) now the wires are touching one another . Can I use it or not . ( It is very different to find the replacement for battery cable).

Hi there, I have followed this guide to the letter but the new battery just won’t charge. I get 4 orange flashes then 1 white. Can you help?

I'm afraid that means you have a bad battery. If that's the one you've purchased then you'll need to return it for a replacement. 4 Amber lights followed by a single white means a bad battery.
