DELL LAPTOP BIOS PASSWORD RESET

Link for this method: bios-pw.org appears to go out for hours at a time. if it does not work try in a few hours.
Dell security is kinda meh because as it turns out a PASSWORD RESET for the BIOS on a laptop is possible with no special tools or knowledge. It's quite simple as you can learn about it with this video.

Just to let everyone know. The site goes down for a hours and comes back up. If it's up. Save the whole website. It still generates unlock codes. tested it on my dell laptop from the website and the html files. works fine

I want to say thank you for the video because I just got my laptop back. My ex was trying to steal my laptop, so I sent my laptop with a friend of mine. I know he has been using it which I told him that’s fine but when he moved, my laptop ended up in his storage for over three years. Worked for a notebook Dell G7!!! In a first moment I was afraid of this URL page, but it really reset the bios admin password!!! Thanks for this! It saved me the time of hooking up my SOP8/SOIC8 clip and to the BIOS chip and reflashing the BIOS. Good stuff! Also, and I know others have mentioned it, but don't forget to hold down the left CTRL button while pressing ENTER. Thanks again!

Works good on Dell Latitude 5480. I took it apart, took out battery and cmos battery tried to drain power. That did nothing. Then I found your video and fixed it. This proves you are the (computer) MAN! Thanks much. 04-06-23

It works !!! My old Dell xps 13 6343 admin account recoverd. Just beware if you have an AZERTY keyboard, the bios is in QWERTY.

It works, it generates some time two codes on two separate lines, for me the second code worked by pressing ctr + enter in the end. CMOS bios battery reset it did not reset bios password just for reference, to save other people time.

Greetings: As he noted, it 'should' work on the newer bios units as can B identified by the Windows type graphics. Also it depends on the System suffix series.

Hello, this method does not work for Dell Latitude E5470. I removed the Bios battery for 1 full day and put it back in the next day. On the same screen, it asks for the recovery password. This does not work for the e5570, and there is no password pins or jumper port to reset bios password from. I have tried removing cmos for a day although password still remains, any ideas guys? I think il need to flash the BIOS using a SOP8/SOIC8 clip as a last resort?

Problem with our refurbished 5480 is it has trouble finding media on boot and the lock screen lock out the password for 2 hours, it only happens occasionally, I can not find the setting to turn off the lock screen, I will keep looking
