I believe it is rated for 3 hours or so. Check Dell Website for specification. Remember your milage may differ

i have the same laptop but my battery is not swollen still sometimes the power manager says the battery need replacement sometimes the battery takes too long to charge and sometimes works/charge completely fine is the battery socket got loose or something because when i flip my laptop it shutsdown too should i open the back and reconnect the battery

it doest hurt to open it and check.. visual inspection
