If you get a pcmica to compactflash card and get a compactflash to SD card adapter with a 2 gigabyte SD card you can use it on this machine to transfer files between your modern pc and this

The battery on mine is actually dead too. It worked fine until a drop sometime around 2010, probably about 5 feet from the top of a filing cabinet onto a carpeted floor. I initially assumed it was some connection or piece of circuitry that broke (and not the battery itself), since it went from being able to hold a full charge to no longer powering the system at all. Trying to open the laptop up to investigate that was how some of the cracks in the chassis happened (the lid latch never worked quite the same after that drop, either, but I was able to partially repair that last year after opening up the bezel.) Even without a functioning battery, mine powers on when it's plugged in. The AC adapter (a PA-1 model, which I think is hilarious since it sounds like the first "power adapter" Dell ever shipped) actually died sometime between 2016 and 2022, and didn't work when I tried to make this video last year. I sourced a replacement from a bad website (SavingOlogy), who sent the wrong model after I ordered the correct one, but after their customer service admitted they didn't have the correct model in stock (and tried to make me pay for return shipping for an incorrect product), I was able to shave the connector into the right shape and the pins were apparently compatible. So, you may notice that the laptop's plugged in in every shot when it's powered on in this video, and is never powered on when it's visibly unplugged.

You droved me up to achieve booting the Dell notebook again. What a surprise view of monitor screens that are still alive with Win98.~!! As we know well. This laptop is one of the oldest ones in the market and our generation. (27 years old. shipped with Windows 95 OS => but, upgraded to win98), A decade later this laptop will be the legacy of the notebook world. * How to recover its booting (Hardware) Stage 1. It got dark in the middle because it got dark outside, I don't have enough space in my current room to fit lights, and I didn't have enough time to wait until daylight for every single shot. If you're talking about colors rather than lighting, I was trying to minimize grain for this 4K video since the results I got from my camera weren't great in my last video, so that's what the settings were optimized for.
