absolutely love this computer. I maxed out the specs with an I9 processor and so forth.

Thx for this review. Letting me know discrete graphics was an option was helpful. Only thing I don't like is max resolution is 1080. Would really like to see QHD.

Are you saying this replaces a stereo? All the reviews I see they never mentioned the printer which it's a problem I have setting up.

the cpu looks great, but eww 3:58 how do you clean the dust on top of the Cpu? They could avoid grooves on top of a cpu for this obvious reason. lol 6:08

Hmmm. He has the i7 cpu. I ordered this about with the i9 cpu. So now I'm wondering if that is where the big noise claims are coming from and I'm going to be screwed too.

this is not a gaming PC, it's basically a laptop mounted behind a screen.

@@psycl0ptic yeah, but that's kind of ridiculous imo for a 1080p panel and a laptop

@@pafawag5b6b5b clearly with it's lack of RGBs it's not for you. it's for, as an example, a receptionist at a business, who just needs a single screen, basic computing and a nice and clean desk (minimal footprint). optiplex is lower to mid end business computers.

@@pafawag5b6b5b it comes with a screen too and Windows 10 Pro and a 1080P webcam, for business. Again, this not for you, this is for a business that uses computers to make money, they don't give an F about gaming or RGBs.

FAN NOISE. Reference is made to fan noise. It is NOT bearable. I have the i9 version and the fan noise is loud and constant. I looked it up in the forums and it seems I am SOL on this as I am outside the return window and in all cases Dell has no solution other than throttling down the processor or live with it. Other AIOs in the line have the same issue, so this seems to be a design flaw of this series. If you don't mind a constant, very noticeable (by you and your colleagues) noise in your office environment, then go ahead and get one. As for me, I'm stuck with a vacuum cleaner on my desk.

@@Biggerbyte you will be very happy with the Optiplex 7780. Mine has the i9 64 gigs ram touch screen with wifi 6. Everything just works as required. Even the Dell apps are non obtrusive. Relax and enjoy this fantastic PC.

Got my 7490 a couple of days ago. Config is i5 11th gen, 512 SSD, 16GB RAM and 1650Ti. Under load (games) it change to hair dryer! Strongly thinking of returning it. Check this video how they design cooling. 2 heat pipes from GPU goes thru CPU! Ofc that will warm CPU itself and in result increase overall fan speed (and noise). Was working for 4y on HP Eliteone which you absolutely cant hear (granted, only integrated GPU there). But seen video of this AiO with GPU and design is different. 2 heat pipes from CPU and one from GPU meets only at endpoint in radiator. That's how it should be.
