if one only have 1 x FC630 node and the other 3 are blanks, can one control the fans or all fans must still run even though just 1 of 4 nodes is been used?

Much like iDRAC in rackmount servers, the CMC monitors and automatically controls the functions of cooling fans based on actual ambient and internal temperature measurements. According to the CMC user manual, you can only configure a fan offset to increase airflow.
