You struggled removing the back cover. Then you cut away and removed the back cover. What did you do to loosen the back cover???

Do you know if I could use 100% isopropyl alcohol to clean it? I’d like to know if the alcohol will break down any material or not.

Should be fine but make sure no power elements are attached to it. I wouldn't make it wet unless absolutely necessary. May I ask why you want to use it?

@@regazzz @Super-zn1og I started with 99% isopropyl alcohol, but found the hardened thermal paste didn't move very easily around the small SMDs, even after multiple applications. I used QD Electronics Cleaner, and that removed the extra bits just by applying it. Then I removed the excess with a paper towel and reapplied isopropyl to finish cleaning.

What drill screwdriver was used?

It was Skil, but I also used some smaller Bosch in some other setting and it was good because the battery was removable.
