need to get yourself some bins for parts sorting (i suggest picking up cheap sterilite 3 drawer cabinets and sort out for spare parts. And if you see pcs in trash or ewaste why not bring em home? Can always test and save parts and can always go back out (with less parts) if it doesn't work. Never know what may come in handy and a lot of pc parts can be interchanged (its the fun of building pcs), its mostly power supply and motherboard from OEM (HP and Dell for the main culprits but not limited to just them necessarily) Micron did that too (rare to find in the usa though, only seen it once), Compaq and Packard bell (used to be big in the earlier days) may of done that too. And old doesn't necessarily mean useless (depending upon how old), it usually just means less useful when it comes to computers. And ANY computer can do word processing (its technically the bloated software that makes a old pc with modern software slow for that, its a shame of modern programing)

thanks man. Going to be honest me and my friend took this apart then went and played a ps2 emulator so you right about pc's of all ages being usefull. I am just going to make this one better soon
