I recently bought a Dell Precision T3610, it came with 16b Ram, E5 1620 v2 and a Quadro K4000 and a 120gb SSD, nice clean tower. I put in my original 480Gb SSD and 750Gb HDD, and reinstalled Windows 10 Pro. runs very nice, but will hopefully expand memory in the future when needed and when I can afford it.

Mine is still running great. Won't run Win11 without some basic hacks, but it is still really fast.

Good, I will try to upgrade the ram memory of my computer too, I have previously the HDD by SSD, its flying.

Great video…might have a go at doing that…currently have 32GB in mine but could do with more for my music production set-up as even with 32gig when all the plug-ins are loaded onto multiple tracks audio drop-outs happen…never realised the maximum for these was 128GB…Thanks again

I don't do audio production. But I do video editing and rendering. Adding the memory was the best thing i could have done. May not have needed to go all the way to 128, but I have it if need it. I work from home now and have tons of large spreadsheets open all the time and it doesn't blink. I really want to upgrade the processor to get more cores, but the 4 cores seem to do pretty well.

@@jostinmendez1026 I just upgraded to e5-2690 v2 from e5-1650 v2. I use it to video editing in Resolve Studio. The increase in power is visible, FX effects on timeline are much more smoother. The CPU temp is ok, I was afraid it would increase but it only rised by about 3 degrees Celsius. I used Silentum PC PT4 paste and a standard heat sink. The setup is as follows at the moment: e5-2690 v2 (10 cores - 20 threads), 64 GB RAM ECC 1866MHz, GTX 1070 Ti (you need to use a special 2x6 pin female to 8 pin male cable), Samsung 840 Pro SSD 512GB, Seagate 4TB HDD and NVME 1 TB for Davinci Resolve cache (it is impossible to boot from PCI-E in this computer, I have the system on SSD) and 685 W PSU. It is not a speed demon, but it can comfortably edit and render 4k60 10 bit materials.

@@jostinmendez1026 I have a standard Dell power supply for the T3610 but with a power of 685W, they were also sometimes weaker, a little over 400W.685W PSU can power a 225W graphics card and a 150W processor

Hi mate, nice video, I have a stock Dell Precision T1600, and would like to upgrade to a 32gb of memory, I have just installed 2 ram sticks of around 8gb x 2 for a total of 16gb of ram. Question is, will 32gb of ram fit? Thanks in advance mate.

It looks like the T1600 has 4 DIMM slots, but the spec sheet says: 4 DIMM slots; up to 8GB 1333MHz non-ECC memory; up to 16GB 1333MHz ECC memory

But I see other places that say: You can upgrade your Dell Precision Workstation T1600 Computer to up to a maximum memory capacity of 32GB ECC & 16GB Non-ECC Memory.. So to be honest, I'm not 100% sure. Do you know if you have ECC or non-ECC ram?

How does a Samsung rdimm ecc work on dell motherboard?

I haven't had any issues with it. Been running them for 18 months or so. Have not had a single failure yet. Nothing appearing to be a memory error during operation and no failures during POST.

If you are asking how I'm using ECC memory on a Dell motherboard? This is a Precision workstation. Pretty much a server class machine. It is using Server class memory. It does not use standard desktop memory.
