Just ordered one for my Mother, the HDMI will only allow 144Hz on this model... But if you use a display port cable... You will get up to 165Hz... I have a similar model... I've had mine for 3 years and no issues... Loving it!

using mine for a year now - great monitor - using on windows and mac never seen mine with his factory leg - using a dual monitor stand and converted one of the legs - vesa mount to a laptop tray. You need to use first display cable to get 165 hz or just change the hdmi cable to a 2.0.

@@thekaydubz Thats right, for your Mac tho you'll probably need a Display Port to USB Type-C cable. the highest the HDMI will go is 144. Interested for your opinions on text from MacOS on the 1440p monitor at a large screen size

Watching this video on mine. Just picked up two of them last night. Actually downgrading from my older LG 4k 27" in resolution, but the black levels are better than the LG IPS. The increase in size is very welcome too. Wasn't sure if I'd like the curve, but I'm loving it already.

On standard setting, do the blues look more like purple on your monitor? I had to adjust the color on mine to fix it

@@thekaydubz actually, now that you mention it, yes! I noticed it on the FB logo and when copying text yesterday, and now that I look around, it's prevalent.

So it wasn't only mine 😮 I was playing starcraft and couldn't tell the difference between my blue and purple allies which was when I first noticed. If you google a blue color palette everything looks weirdly purple too

It's been fine, I don't really notice it as much now after changing the colors in the settings. The blues don't look purple anymore! Edit: I never tried the Samsung G5 though I did hear about it when I was looking at buying a monitor. I heard Samsung makes great monitors as well so I guess you can't go wrong

to get the 160hz you need a Displayport cable. HDMI is capped at 144hz

I just received mine! In the Refresh rate settings on my M1 Mac, I don't see "144" nor "165". I only see 60Hertz. Is it because my cable is HDMI?

I had my macbook connected to it as an external display so that's how I can do that. If you plug in a ps5 that will be using only one display. You will still need a separate computer for browsing/streaming services

this might be a dumb question (new to the gaming pc world). if i have a wireless headset for my ps5 which comes with a usb transceiver to connect to my ps5, will that work fine with this monitor? i know that the monitor doesn’t come with any usb ports, so im just making sure it being connected to my ps5 for audio is fine? thanks in advance.

The monitor shouldn't have any effect on audio if the USB receiver connects straight to the PS5

I'm using the HDMI so that's prob why I'm getting 165hz. I can't test the displayport unfortunately cuz I don't have any displayports on my laptops or an adapter 😅
