Same here, but I'd also like to see a review on the new LG Gram 15". For me it seems to be coming down to a choice between the Spectre, the Gram, and the XPS 15. The Spectre looks great, but I don't need a 2-in-1, so the Gram is starting to look pretty good.

Hi Lisa, Would you recommend this notebook for amateur video editing (my channel), right now I am using the iPad Pro 10.5 with Luma Fusion which works nice. Points I don’t like tho: - not able to connect my external hard drive - not beeing able through the adapter putting data back onto camera/USB etc. - slow charging - Missing keypad (don’t wanna buy the Apple one, doesn’t seem right tried it before) - not able to get data on or off my phone (Honor8pro) via USB I want something light for traveling, good battery life, great performance, and beeing able to do the stuff mentioned above Would love to heart from ya Cheers Michael

Hi Lisa. Thanks for that review. I just have returned an 2017’s one because of overheating problem, and ordered newest with the same specs (i78550u/16gb/512). I’m Waiting for the delivery and wondering if they really got rid of that ridiculous problem in the 9370? Did you receive any complains on it ? Seriously. Because of overheating 9360 was slower than my 4 years old Hp probook...

Forgot the keyboard differences again! The new one has dedicated Page Up/Down and Home/End keys, which is great for navigating documents, and allowing faster keyboard shortcuts in some programs. Also, my impression at the shop was that the keyboard felt slightly better in the new version - maybe slightly more key travel?

Dear Lisa, I am quite confused about the actual battery life vs. stated. While you mention 14hrs for the Full HD (i dont care about top notch UHD 4k screen frankly), what are the assumptions here in terms of programs running? Also, how does this compare to Samsung Notebook 9 always 13.3" which has a bigger battery?

Thanks for the feature-specific comparison. After seeing this, I just picked the "old" model. The extra battery life (and USB-A ports) is worth it to me...and the fact that its price has fallen with respect to the newer model. I've heard complaints of coil whine on this model. Have you heard it in any of the review units?

As always perfect smackdown! It could be nice to see more figures instead of 'printscreen'. A bit too small if you see your video on a smartphone. Can be shorter too (maybe by cutting the redundancy). It's like you do your video on the fly.

Just picked up a 9360 with the 8th gen i7 processor ($300 off President's day sale), so far, so good. Only gripe so far is when typing on a hard surface there is slight rattle near the touchpad. Dell customer service is sending a replacement unit (new as well), so we will see if that unit does the same.

Odd question. I'm planning on getting a new laptop so I can install Gentoo linux on it. For fun and as a hobby. You have to compile everything on Gentoo. Do you think these CPU''s are up to the task or should I look for a laptop with more powerful 45W chips?

very useful and practical comparison. if I would add something, just being picky, would be to test a sample video project with some effects and test rendering times. as you mentioned the 9370 can TDP-up but in longer video projects that effect might die off quickly.

Get the 9360 with the same 8th gen i 5 with 8GB and 128GB for a way better deal over the 9370. Use the price difference to upgrade to bigger storage. Boom. Don't forget to use discounts or talk to Dell representatives for deals. Or, buy one then return it for whatever reason then Dell will give you more discounts. Student discounts, get it all!

Sadly, there is one HUGE issue with the new 9370 that made me chose the 9360 instead and that is the changed keyboard layout of Brightness and Page navigation keys (PgDn, PgUp, Home, End). /edit unfortunately the 9360 is not available in my country any more, so I've got to go with 9370.

SSD upto 256GB I believe. Anything with a higher capacity only comes in 9370. Memory is probably just 4 or 8GB options.
