you could have waited 3 more weeks to get the new xps 9570 which will start preorders tomorrow. It is almost the same price but with new CPU 6 cores processors and 1050Ti GPU. it has also 4 lines TB.

Drive Buss i will be hopefully be doing a review on the new 2in1 soon. i didnt really want a 2in1 even with the spec upgrades because of the loss of some of the ports and the fact that i got such a great price on the 9560

No I mean the new 9570 (normal) not 9575 2in1.

you could return this one probably and get the new one with coffee lake cpu and 1050ti graphic card. it would be way better for productivity and multi-tasking work loads. kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJ6klouXZ8xpeNk

The same size HP Spectre 2in1 is actually heavier than the XPS 15

archerman this is true although not by much but thats still shocking. it surely makes it rather difficult to put it in tablet mode

I just ordered the 2 in 1.. i7 8705g/16gb/256gb with the 1080p screen for 1599. I was on the fence with the 4k but it was $400 more and battery life supposedly is cut a few hours with it. Brightness was important to me and it shows they are both 400 nits... so fingers crossed I like it. The passmark score of the 8705g is higher than the 7700hq and the vega gl is looking like a 1050ti in performance. I keep wondering why people say they're not interested in the 2 in 1... is it the mag lev keyboard or the lack of full size usb... or is there something i'm missing. As far as power they have got to be pretty close as far as I can tell.

william castle in my honest opinion its a combination of things that keep people away from 2 in 1’s all together. traditionally (up until this release) the 2in1 market has been underpowered, and not enough people really needed them. its hard to justify wanting a 4.5 pound tablet. its large, clunky and not as powerful in my mind as say a macbook or dell xps 15 (non 2in1). combine that with the lack of ports and high price? hard to justify. if you want a tablet, get a tablet. as far as the 4k.... i totally agree they charge a bit much, but it has a ton of tech and is far superior to that of the 1080p. 100% of the rgb is nice to have. but again the touch features are not really needed unless youre using it in tablet mode all the time. i think the new 15 2in1 will be nice and very powerful and rival the 7700hq for sure and its a decent price.

but the 2in1 is again.... a heavy tablet hard to justify. enjoy it buddy :) im trying to get one to do a review on but being a newer youtuber is hard to buy expensive tech

I don't look at is as a 2 in 1 or tablet .. but as a typical laptop with the option of converting it... ie..presentation mode if I happen to be on a plane or tablet mode as a sketch pad on the very rare occasion I might want to do some sketching or tent mode if I want to Skype without the camera looking up my nose. I was on the fence of getting the yoga x1 3rd gen especially with that HDR screen and probably would have if it would have had a dedicated gtx or vega graphics. Darn Lenovo!

william castle i cant lie i love lenovo products but in terms of power and design i have to go dell... the combo or intel and amd for vega and making the 2 in 1 is slick. and i agree on the 2 in 1 aspect its nice to have sometimes but i wouldt not sacrifice performance for it or pay more.... lenovo yogas have the best price on 2 in 1s and its a heated competition now
