Hello from America 🇺🇸, I just bought a 1984 Moto Guzzi V65C and it has two phbh 30 carbs and this video was the best walkthrough I could find anywhere on this and your explanation was fantastic. Keep on keeping on!!!

My PHBH 28 had become corroded during 2020 lockdown and so I used this video to guide me through a strip down and clean. My Lambretta started 3rd kick ... thank you so much for posting such a helpful tutorial ... really is appreciated 👍

Can I ask what engine and exhaust you have. I'm struggling to start my 28mm phbh. Also do you know your jet sizes?

Good quick introductory video but worth mentioning is one critical factor and that is float height. Dellorto have set float heights for set carburettors and if you don’t check this height - especially if buying second hand - it could be set too high causing fuel starvation and conversely, set too low could cause flooding. All of which I am sure you know but want to make viewers aware of this. Bolti

I assume there is a tab that bends to set the float height?

Nice video😊 my choice went on a dellorto phbh 30 for my Honda Mt5..mt80 engine, ported Athena 125 ccm kit, proma exhaust and HPI 210 ignition...Im wondering...🤔 have lot of problems on getting it fired up...tried different main jets and so on....brand new carb...overhauled engine, new athena kit... What may br your take on the problem? Some carb tuning for this setup ypu might see as good? Thanks😊

Its a spray tube and its designed to smooth out pulses on a 2 stroke . but its not needed if you run reeds .. as in the dellorto manual there is no two stroke or 4 stroke carb they are the same , only some components are changed such as spray tube .

Hi, could you just give me a rough idea what a 34mm carb jetting needs to be for a sst265, for our climate, as I think out of the box from rimminni the settings are a bit too rich. Cheers. Great informative videos .

Thanks for the information. What are the two vents on the sides of the carb body? I have fuel spraying out of both!

Hi ya I’ve got the same make carburettor but my one is a 34… My question is I’ve got a little brass looking screw or something and it’s dripping fuel. Can you show me what it is and how to fix it please. Maybe do a video of it would help if you have a 34 carburettor. Many thanks as you may tell I don’t know a lot at all about carburettors.

Hi, I'm currently restoring a 1962 li150. It has no Carb and I was thinking of running a phbh30. It has a "swift" exhaust and no other engine work. I'll be running no air filter, do you have any recommended settings I could use as a starting point please? Thanks Rich

Hi thank you for the video , we run PHBH 28 on our ohvale GP2 , we find the throttle response hesitante in slow second gear bends would raising the needle to richen help?

Brilliant video as usual. Does anyone out there know the jetting for a lambretta li 150 with a mogello 185 kit on? I don't want top performance, just a nice ride. Thanks

Hi. I have an standard SX200. Is it ok to run a Dellorto PHBH 30 AS? If so what’s the recommended jetting?

Hi. Have learnt a lot from your channel. Thank you. Question. Vespa. Lml reed valve case. Pinassco 177 kit. Sip road 2. Phbh 28. Carb. I have the carb sitting at about 1 o’clock position. Banjo on the high side. Not parallel with the ground. Otherwise it will hit the body. Do you see this being a problem? Thanks

My 30mm Delly has a brass dish with 4 small holes in it, it's a push for around where the atomiser goes, what is it and is it necessary?

Hiya could you help. Ive rebuilt my standard 200 lambretta, phbh30 and a pm pipe. I'm just trying to find My base settings. Carb set up. Inlet 350 40 slide X7 needle on 2nd clip Av266 120 main 50 pilot 60 choke. Do you think I need to go x13, 55 pilot to start. What size main jet and needle clip would you recommend. Top videos BTW 👍
@drunkmunkey696910 ай бұрын
Start with 55p and 125m - other settings seem OK as a starting point. Do road tests and plug chops at varying throttle positions in order to refine.

Where was your anti surge washer ? Or was they not fitted on the solid mount type , no mention about them .
@drunkmunkey69693 жыл бұрын
I normally eave them in. These carbs came with the engine and never had the. Presume it’s a ‘solid mount thing’?

@@drunkmunkey6969 probably due the the less vibratory engine it was deemed unnecessary too fit, but I’d still fit one 😁

Hi mate, I have a honda crm 125, it runs perfectly a part from cold, I put the choke on and it fires up straight away, as soon as I drop the choke off it stalls and cuts out, I have to warm the bike up with choke full on for around 4/5 minutes before it will tick over, once it does warm up it’s absolutely fine will start and tick over, it’s just on the cold starts, like it isn’t getting enough fuel on tick over when cold, it uses the PHBH 28 carb, do you have an idea on what’s happening? Thank you

I had this with mine, it turned out to be ethanol swelling the float an sticking, I drilled out the hole the pin sits in and the edges of the float were catching..

Great video, i have a 28mm that currently has fuel pouring from the float bowl overflow, reckon its the float valve or float causing this?
