Watching those guys dance just fills me with happiness. So lovely and exquisite. One of the best ice-dancers ever. Makes me feel horrible to think they never even got an Olympic medal.

Every couple in ice dance has its own highlight, its own moment of excellence. For Anissina and Peizerat it was their worlds 99 FD, for Fusar-Poli and Margaglio it was their worlds 01 FD, for Bourne and Kraatz it was their worlds 98 FD, for Denkova and Staviski it was their olympics 02 FD, for Lobacheva and Averbukh it was their olympics 02 FD, for those two it's exactly this FD. So moving, so mature, so captivating. Even though they were indeed a bit rough sometimes, this is a true masterpiece!

Да, французские танцевальные пары хороши были. Сначала Дюшене, потом Анисина с Пейзера потом они...всегда что то оригинальное показывали. Как сказал раз комментатор, от французских пар ждешь "extra special degree of creativity".

Totally agree. In my opinion the FD Umbrellas of Cherbourg of V&M hasn't beaten yet, maybe by Malher 's Symphony n. 5 either. It is a clear miracle of sublime technique, intensity, youth's freshness and in the same time maturity of interpretation. At the age of 18 and 20 y.o. The people who deny that this is true deny the evidence of the facts. And I remember the Gotheborg' audience reaction. Surprise,, disbelief, emotion.

This pair rightfully won the Gold. NO ONE had the maturity and authentic emotion and passion as Delobel & Schoenfelder did. Such heartfelt skating and beautiful edging.

I have to recognize that this program was difficult, well-built and well-skated but I keep thinking that that Words was the Words of Virtue and Moir.I didn't know them and saw them for the first time in Goteborg. They were truly stunning.Nobody else showed the smoothness, the lightness and the sound of music they put into their routine at that so young age. They seemed to me much more natural in their interpretation, less theatrical. It is no wonder if they became Olympic champions two years later

I know their faithful fans will disagree and I understand them well...they have a gold here to back them up, but the best that night was Tessa and Scott, they were the best, but at the end the French couple deserved it too.

@Porporinablu Virtue & Moir did win the FD. There are more programs than just the FD though. The French were clearly better in both the CD and OD and definitely deserved the gold overall.

I didn't even mention Davis/White. I'm talking about Isa&Oli and this is their video, so what is your problem?

This program was precious and I loved it, but Umbrellas of Cherbourg was priceless. Virtue and Moir really deserved the gold.

Nice!!! I think that this routine is much prettier and has a lot more meaning than their Pink Floyd routing of today.

they are very good but not comparable at all to Virtue/Moir IMHO

they should have done this at the olympics

I like this pair but this is not my favorite of their programs. I don't think it was a particularly interesting music choice or very interesting choreography.

virture and moir were only better in the free dance, ithink that if they didn't make that mistake ing the od they would've came closer
