Deloitte New Grad Consulting Interview Experience (Interviewing while drinking with 50+ people??)

Hi everyone!
In this video, I talk about my whole interview experience applying to Deloitte's new grad consulting role (Business Technology Analyst role).
This interview process consisted in total of 2.5 rounds (I'll explain the 0.5 round in a second) like so:
1. Digital Video Interview
2. Pre-Final Social (the 0.5!)
3. Final round (Senior Manager and Partner interview)
This Digital interview was essentially a video interview, except you record the videos yourself and you don't have anyone else on the other side of the camera. It was a pretty daunting experience as it was hard to gauge if you were doing well in the interview. The most unique part of this whole process was the pre-final social, where you gather around a restaurant with around 50-100 people including all of the new grad consulting candidates and senior partners and managers from Deloitte. I have no idea if other consulting firms (Big 4 / Big 3 such as BCG, Mckinsey, Bain, Accenture, KPMG, PWC, E&Y) have similar interview formats, but for me it was definitely the first time I've heard of a process like this where you are drinking and eating and lounging while interviewing! I explain more details in the video. Finally there is the final round with the senior manager and partner where I went through a mini case interview.

Hey Mika! Could I ask you what types of questions you asked the senior members there? Or what you as a former employee feel are the best kinds of questions to ask?

I think it’s important to ask questions that you are genuinely curious about that pertains to the role/company. Take some time to think about what more you want to learn about the role/company. Could be anything from culture, opportunities, job duties etc!

Hey Mika! I will soon be finalising my university choice and I am aiming to go into environmental / sustainbility consulting - I just had a question! I'm from the UK - we have a group of universities known as the 'Russell Group' which is the equivalent to the Ivy league in the US. Do consultancy firms generally value the university over the degree or the degree over the university? I have been offfered a place at a non-russell uni for a course in Environmental Management which I love the sound of. However, I've also been offered a place at a russell group university for Geography (with Innovation) which isn't what I had originally planned to study. The decision is so hard! I appreciate this isn't necessarily your exact field, however just in a general sense, I would really value your opinion :D Thanks so much! - Tom

I'm not Milka but I'm at a russel group right now, I would say degree level is the most important (ie first), then university and then degree. I've read that the big 4 take most of their employees from target universities most of which are russel group by the looks of it.
