Thanks for the video. I go crazy with all these different variants. The model name is the same but there is apparently moderate variance in features. We have the ECAM220.21.B or ECAM220.20.W somewhat discounted but they are both missing "americano" function and the cup stand is different.

Yeah, that's a bot confusing. However, you can still make americano manually on them. On the other hand, 220.21 should have doppio+ recipe for strong espresso, which is also useful...

That is a great review video, thank you. It is very helpful to understand the different drink capabilities between each model (why all the experienced Delonghi marketing people aren't doing that already in their website? Do they gain anything in particular by not compiling a very helpful comparison table like the one you provided?) but also comprehend the "Long"' drink setting. By the way, for an every day longer black coffee (150-200ml) would you recommend using the "Coffee" or the "Long" Setting? I have trouble understanding their intended purpose and your channel has been the only source online to shed some light in these. Many thanks again!

Thanks ։-). Definitely "Long", not "Coffee". Because the latter one is in fact another button for espresso (same pressure, the only difference is that "coffee" recipe doesn't have 1 sec ore0infusion pause in the beginning). So longer black coffee on "Coffee" is overextracted (simply speaking - too bitter). However, for me personally classic americano (espresso + hot water) is best among all these recipes.

I bought it yesterday and the espresso comes out watery and I have adjusted the water temperature grind size and use lavazza coffee beans any idea on how to fix the issue

universal advice: put coffee strength (amount of coffee per portion) to maximum, grind level - toward finer settings

Magnifica Start is simply more functional because of new recipes (if we put design aside). However, if you don't need long/americano or doppio+ (stringer espresso shot), that means if single espresso is enough for you, than there would be no differences. Older magnificas will brew exactly the same

Can you trust Delonghi? Are you late for delicious coffee? Just because I had a delonghi dedica lever machine, the coffee was macera, I didn't like the coffee, it didn't taste good either, bosch tassimo made too strong coffee, now I have a nespresso too frothy, too strong or too much butter or too fun... I've had a couple of coffee makers. ..I don't want to spend all that money.. Now I have an automatic machine, which delays good coffee..
