Wouldn't be a good intake (size restrictions and they would need pipes to grab cold air from outside of the bay anyway), they already have a lot of space limitations, I don't even know how they will get the exhaust there to extract a good sound, it usually requires more space to sound great.

The owner didn't want to change the Ferrari intake manifold. They cutted the bulkhead on purpose to display the clear intake pipes inside the cockpit to resemble the "flux capacitor" of the time machine.

Totally the most Awesome'ness DeloreanTech video/build yet!😎 They Finally Did It!!!! Ferrar'Lorean, or a Delor'Rrari or DeLarri😋 I always wondered if anyone ever put a 308/328 or a 246 motor in a Delorean, which would've been my choice for the exotic sound I always think the Delorean deserved. Curious; does the Delorean community know about SuoerPro bushings developed out of Australia? All the C4 Vette guys are using them now instead of regular poly bushings & are far superior in their elastomer composition & not a harsh ride & NVH compared to regular poly bushings. Not sure if they have the correct sizes, but is worth looking into, to further improve the Delorean suspension dynamics & component upgrades.🏁 I bet they hand lay a custom carbon fiber intake, but Stainless would be even more retro. Maybe 2 Hervey-Style air boxes!

You beat me too it....I was thinking the same but didn't want to even go there in my comment below! But, I hope not, or we'll have to do a go fund me defense for these Brazilian-Italian Delorean Dudes ! I was kind of hoping Ferrari would've gone after that Yutz stunt Influencer Cody Detwiler aka WhistlinDiesel who burned his Ferrari F8 to the ground in a corn field fire in Waco TX & fire dept was called out in a major ordeal. It was all over the internet last year & they video'd the entity incident. Im sure Ferrari sought legal action even against whoever sold him that car as Ferrari qualfies worthiness of all newer Ferrari sales! I wonder if these guys would take the chance & put a small DMC logo & prancing horse sticker under it on the upper front fender! But that could be a double-wammy intervention of Ferrari & DMC Houston in Federal Court! 😂 I'd do it, & register the car in Dubai under the name of a fictitious Egyptian Saudi Prince named Prince Omar Sharif...!🤔😁😁😁😁

It's the cars. They don't want you tinkering with the whole packaged car. First they blacklist you from buying a new cars from their dealerships, then depending how deep your pockets are(celebrity status), they drag you into court. The question should be, why would you ruin a good Ferrari engine by wrapping it in a DeLorean? I mean there are a hell of a lot better classic vehicles worth dropping a Ferrari motor in but a mofo'ing DeLorean, STOP IT!!! Sounds to me, like someone has more money than brains 🧠 Yeah, the engine & the rims are nicer than the car you put them on/in.
@davel696969Ай бұрын
@jwalster9412 WHAT? Did John DeLorean smoke the whole dam bag of coke & think, " Boy let's ruin a Ferrari engine by slamming it into my POS car no one bought to begin with? What's next, slamming a Ferrari engine in my Pinto or a Yugo? As in Yugo nowhere!! I'd rather slam a Ferrari engine in a Pantera or something that deserves a great engine. You have a $40,000 to $60,000 engine in a car most people wouldn't give you $10,000 maybe $15,000. And that's if it drove off the lot new today.

They should just run the tubing straight up to the roof and put a functioning roof scoop in it. Having intakes do a 180 ain't gonna help feed it with air.
@chrispompanoАй бұрын
Absolutely! But that Ferrari engine is so highly efficient in design by Computational Fluid Dynamics & major technology, the loss would be less than its total Awesomeness looking!!!! But my thoughts on the very restrictive design of the PRV's roller-coaster-ride air-flow loss thru the entirety of the Bosch K-jet plumbing that has more twists & turns than a human GI tract or Presidential Race for the White House! 😂. I'd love to buy a SuperFlow flow bench & do full testing to measure how much pumping loss there is on the entire Delorean intake system from tip of the intake snorkel too the head & then do some creative moddingon the intake alone.... I have some ideas that have never yet been done before too minimumly & drastically improving the entire PRV intake system as well as putting those heads into the hands of top engine builders & porters who use CFD modeling or those few who are the old time famous race porting genius's before their time is up on this Earth. I am thinking to commission a well known porter to set up a preliminary study, if I can get him interested in doing it for the PRV community & maybe see if DeloreanTech would host the video, but also need to make a donation to the MJF Foundation. I have such a bug up my backside seeing things that others don't seem to discuss about the PRV. As an example I'd remove that puny stock K&N & put the biggest conical filter at the beginning of the intake or inside the rear fender & build a fresh air box with the side scoop to lfeed it, & by removing the filter from the air box, the air would have time to ramp-up velocity at WOT going thru the intake before slamming into the bottom of the air meter floor slowing down, then thru the restrictive throttle body plates with air obstructing springs on those throttle blades which I am puzzled of their function (John Lane throttle body spring mod from 2008) then the slower air piles up into the 180 degree elbo, further t slowing down & loss of laminar flow thru the 180 bend, ect, ect, ect. but you probably understand what I'm blabbing about. That 180 elbow is really the worst part of the KJet, but it could be improved internally with some ideas & methotical flow mods & addition of extruder honing & strategically placed air vanes if someone could verify thru CFD modeling would be great.....has anyone ever run their Delorean KJet w/o the air box & no filter & reset the a/f mixture procedure to see if there is any performance gain or install a huge velocity stack onto the air meter?🤔 But to feed that beastly Ferrari motor, a 180 intake is the only way. Personally, I'd just put 2 massive Conical Filters in a fancy smanzy air box & leave it inside the passenger compartment to here the Symphony!!!!😁 The exhaust is going to be very challenging & I would expect to take forever to build & redesign the frame, ect. & even if it could be done. However they do it, & bet thats where the major loss in hp would be & very significant w/o the help of Ferrari engineers or an F1 exhaust fabricator.

I really don't want to be negative but this isn't a swap. its the block bolted in to the car. and really not SEMA ready. i would love to see a video explaining why some of the choices were made like... there looks to be plenty of room for exhaust headers but where is your gear box going to go? and how are you going to get driveshafts to the rear wheels? could you not have flipped the intake around or failing that create a custom one so that you didn't have to cut a hole in the firewall?
