Excellent video......watched about an hour and then saved video. Will come back and continue working. I actually bought and began using Delphi with version 1 back in 1994! However, I got busy with my job (science/cancer research) and never really got back to it. A lot of the video so far I already know but certainly needed a refresher! I also used MS Visual basic when it first came about too! Thanks for this video.....I want to make a small stand alone database and form with Delphi so I will work my way into the program and follow along!

HI trying to do the output example with RadStudio Delphi 10.4 2021. Any suggestions; much appreciated, thank you.

The code does seem to be correct, make sure all the code before that line and after that line does have their required ";" (semicolon)... I haven't coded any Delphi in 5 months, so I'm a bit rusty on it

@@Stevesteacher well so basically i want to make a program that calculates my mark, based on the maximum score possible and my score. So i thought id do it in a string grid, wich is a nightmare for me haha. So i managed to get it write down the percentage in the first column for all the marks, in the second collum its shows how much points are required to reach the percentage, and in the 3. Collum its supposed to show the marks from 1 to 6 (1 at the top, and the 6 in the bottom row) now the problem is, that idk how to assign a field in a string grid a specific value (number). Thanks

Delphi is probably not the best choice, other languages such as Python, JavaScript, C# etc. would be more beneficial to learn, since they're either easier, more popular or more in demand than Delphi. Delphi however is still great for beginners, teaching you the basics of working with code and design at the same time. And if you choose to do so, you can still get a well paying job with Delphi once you finish school
@dadestor3 жыл бұрын
@@Stevesteacher I mean even if the job was well paying I would never work with this. So many more powerful and enjoyable languages
