I loved this episode! I have always wanted to know more about this story and you did a great job! Wasn't expecting Nicolas Cage to play a role though 😂

In your research, did you find any validity to the rumors she would bleed the ones upstairs for using as a facial stuff to keep young? And as always, once again a great podcast from you 2! 💜😊💙

Thank you! As far as we know, there is 0 evidence to show that happened.

I love stuff like this. It has that right amount of mystique (could be because of the location haha) that I have always been fascinated by.

Juat so you are aware, back in the slave days it was quite popular to set older slaves free as the slave owners did not have to care for them in their senior years as they were no longer productive to their plantation and more a hinder So technically Delphine was not being nice but actually quite cruel to not offer senior care to her senior slaves that had served her well.
