Great tutorial. I am new in this Delhi/Pascal world Do you recommend Delphi /Lazarus for beginner? I mean, syntax wise how different are they? Do they have common standard library? How easy is it to switch from Delhi to Free Pascal and vice versa?

They both use the Pascal language. I think Lazarus still has the old Delphi 7 look (Not sure. Haven't looked recently). The free Delphi Community Edition has a modern IDE.
