update on my 12-10..got a chance to take it out onto the ocean, am VERY pleased with its handling abilities.I felt very safe and at no time did I feel like I was going to capsize. Didn't have my new skirt yet, will be more adventuresome next round!

I just ordered a 12.10 today. Doubtful will do any sea kayaking as I'm not close to any ocean but plan on hitting lakes and lazy rivers with it. This will be my first kayak so I'm hoping I enjoy the sport otherwise, I spent a lot of money, time will tell I suppose. Wife's happy though as she has wanted kayaks for years.

Is this something you would recommend for fishing out of the ocean?

For fishing I use the Delta 12 AR because of the larger cockpit and the different design of the hull.

@@billyrock8305 I really enjoy it - the tracking is far better than longer kayaks from other brands. And the interest in the Delta 12.10 is increasing. The gear is Kokatat - in my opinion there is nothing better plus incredible first-buyer-guarantee that really works - I have experienced it :-)

I own 2 x 12.10s. Excellent value, very seaworthy. Light enough for easy solo car load and portage.

I’m a 12.10 owner as well, but mine is red :) Amazing sea kayak for sure! I hope they’ll introduce an updated version with an optional skeg + rudder configuration though. That would make it perfect.

I'm about to buy one later this week! Do you feel like it tracks well in windy conditions out in the ocean w/o a skeg/rudder?
