Delta is always a great choice, that is why they are a bit more money then the other airlines but much better experience, and better seating and food.. as far as turning off the seatbelt sign, Some airlines instruct their pilots to keep the seatbelt sign on until cruising altitude has been reached. Others allow pilots to turn the seatbelt sign off at 10,000 or 18,000 feet at their discretion. Delta's lowest altitude is 18,000 before they turn the seatbelt sign off, how ever i never had a problem i have gotten up out of my seat before 18,000 feet.. Delta is one of the better airlines for sure..

I just flew N395DN, a 737-800 as well, from BOS to MCO on December 26th. Very nice interior, very nice flight attendants, great flight all around!

Pretty sure N395DN has the same new entertainment screens, but still has the classic bins and squared off window shades, and lacks head rests in both classes.

Interesting way how you pan the cabin,looks like you wait till arrival and you're the last one off to do your cabin pass-through--that male FA as he is closing the bins,um,an interesting hairstyle! I've never flown to SAN,much less California so I don't understand your comment about T2 West vs East--always a treat to fly over downtown Seattle,its on my bucket list for a future vacation--is SEA building an 'airbridge' by DL 's gates? That male passenger in the next row up,middle seat,he has the right idea by bringing something to read,although if it was me,I'd be catching up on newspapers.

You’re lucky you got the sky interior! We flew 2 Delta Boeing 737-800s from SEA to LAX and back, one was from 1999, the other from 2000. They had the original interior, but with upgraded seats. The seats were the weird middle-aged ones (probably from the 2010s) with the newer large entertainment screen, but no head rest and that really weird tray table latch that you push straight up.

I got off the Delta flights last night (Nov16, 2022) round trip to and back between California and Virginia and the only good part was the price. Economy Class, at the gate they assigned my wife and I sat separated in 2 middle seats across the aisle away from each other on the same row. Both fights with other passengers (big body) who paid more for aisle seat trying take over both armrests and shuffling they FAT elbows into my rib cage, it was a long trip with connecting flights at Atlanta, finally I raised the armrest slightly in keeping the fatso next to the aisle from invading my space, in conclusion, beware what you are getting into.

Delta took delivery of two 737-800s in 2010, the same year Boeing launched the Sky Interior for 737NGs. Do those two have BSI?

Probably not, Delta got some 738s from GOL that are newer than that I believe so I would assume the BSI ones are the ex GOL ones

I always find 5:20 interesting. I assume by regulations, since the bulkhead needs to stow the PTV for takeoff, and they play the safety video on the PTVs, the manufacturers need to install two overheads in the entire aircraft. Also 10:09 LOL

Why does this plane have drop down screens for the safety video instead of just the seat back screens?

The drop down screen is there for the first row of economy, which has their IFE screens stowed in the armrest. These screens are only really used to broadcast the safety video to them, so they can also have a view of the video. Is it a waste, somewhat, and United has been doing the same with the MAX 8s, as well as almost the rest of delta's narrow body fleet.

For the 800s, yeah, only these GOL units have sky interior, and the 737-900 style interior.

New delta uniform. The new uniform is problematic because it’s treated with anti wrinkle and flame retardant that several of the flight attendants are allergic to. There’s a class action lawsuit against the uniform maker.

I wouldn't fly any other domestic airline BUT Delta! And now I’m going to make you mad, lol! I almost never fly economy anymore. Because I am wheelchair-bound, I usually get upgraded to Comfort Plus. Sometimes I’m able to cough up for First Class.☺ I don't have to wait in the TSA lines, either. I go right to the left side, they open the gate, push me through, help me up to the detector, give me two wooden canes to support me, get me back into my chair as fast as they can before I fall, and away I go. Hey, being crippled has to have SOME perks! But I feel your pain, because before my accident I had to stand in line just like everybody else.(I was run over by a punk in a car, in case you were wondering.) At Delta, there is always a minder waiting for me at every airport, and they are extremely careful with me. The last time I flew Agony Airlines, 5 years ago, they flung me around like luggage! I will NEVER fly them again! I refuse to fly United because they will only connect through Newark. I will NOT connect through that Godawful airport! Detroit Metro is beautiful, and everyone is super friendly. Thanks, I'm sticking with Delta! Glad you had a great experience! That is Delta all the way. They care about people!

I'm going to point out that this is actually what you're more expecting to find on a 737-900ER with Delta. When they took these planes, they put the 737-900ER interior in them rather than the (much more dated) 737-800 interior.

Great video! I’ll be flying delta 737-800 for the first time in November. I’m debating on upgrading to the comfort plus. Not for the leg room but because you get a personal overhead bin for your luggage and they say you board and deboard quicker. Thoughts on comfort plus?

I’ve flown Southwest and I’m going to fly delta in a couple months. It usually depends on prices at the time, but I think southwest seems to be a better deal since you get a suitcase included. You only get a personal bag and a carry-on with Delta. It’s $60 to check a bag. I’ve never heard anything negative about Delta so try it out if you think it would be nice. Another thing with delta is if the overhead bin space runs out they will check your carry-on for free. So they will just take it before you get on the plane, tag it and it will be sitting in the hallway thing when you land. Overall they both seem like great options and the higher price on Southwest might be due to getting a free checked bag. Hope this helps🙃

I thought Delta is one of wealthiest aviation industry in the world. But Delta purchased this aircraft from Brazil. That’s used aircraft. You’re so lucky that you flew good condition from San Diego to Seattle. That’s amazing in cabin. I think maintenance people renovated in the aircraft. Next time, don’t reserve used planes. I'd prefer audible narration--more human than computer notes. Abbreviated sentences, with limited words compared to the still in place 'subtitles'. However, your on-screen narration has numerous errors--mechanics, poor sentence structure, etc. Even with the above, I enjoyed the video. Send me some text and I'll improve/correct the on-screen and audible text. And, while you possibly believe the text is adequate, you lose professionals/highly educated persons--and/or maybe just maybe, your video can be better than the others.

I prefer without narration because then I can watch the video at more of my own pace and don't have to put up with (to be very blunt) annoying voices a lot of KZbinrs have!
