Great video! Spent nearly 8 years flying the 75/76 for Delta. Lots of fun. The 75 was the Ferrari and the 76 the tricked out, comfy Cadillac. It was fun going back and forth between types, often during the same day.

Did you also fly the 767-400? I know at United they fly all the variants but I heard at Delta it's only the 757s and the 767-300 and the -400 was a separate type rating or something.

@@thecomedypilot5894 At Delta we flew the 757-232, 767-232 and 767-332. The 200s were retired pretty quickly after I checked out on the type. I didn't miss it, it flew like a Peterbuilt with front end problems. The 767-400 was a separate category. I'm 99.999% certain the 767-400 was the same type rating but required "differences training". Similar to the differences training when Delta acquired the 727-247 (Western Air Lines), 727-221 (Pan Am) and the 727-225 (Eastern Airlines). As you've guessed by now, Boeing's customer code for Delta was 7X7-X32. The Eastern 72s were the most tricked out- they had mods to handle high elevation South American destinations. It was fun flying all the variants but it came with a twinge of melancholy. Pan Am and Eastern pilots graciously offered me jump-seat rides and most of them were out of a job. Tough industry. Cheers

Great sound detail I felt the gear come down. Those iconic 76 sounds, from the flaps to gear to the cabin ambiance.. perfect!

What a magnificent show the flaps and airbreaks put on! Beautiful videography and position from which the video was taken. Gee in Sonoma, CA

delta seems to use the a320 series for its main workhorse now. it’s a shame because the slc to atl flight was always on a 767 and it was like flying in a giant bed in the sky. so comfortable. flying it on an a319 most recently was like being on a city bus for 4 hours.

Where did the 767 originate from? When I go to Orlando I’d rather be on a 767 instead of a 737 or an A320 series.

@@Avg744 interesting, usually when i fly to orlando I end up on 767s and 757s and the flights are usually in the 150-250 price range where the connecting flights on CRJs are in the 400s price range
