Delta Connection CRJ-700 Short Hop | Chicago-Detroit | Ultra Real 4K | A MSFS Experience

In this video I fly out the Bombardier CRJ-700 by Aerosoft from Chicago Midway to Detroit Metro on a short 50 minute flight. This is a daily route operated by Endeavor Air that takes us over Lake Michigan and across the oven mitt of the state of Michigan. Awesome video. I noticed a few thing so here’s a couple of points to help you out: Hit the TOGA button on the throttle when taking the runway. Or else you won’t know what to pitch for on climbout. “Gear up speed mode” is one call on positive rate so hit that asap. NAV or HDG at 400agl. Autopilot on no lower than 600agl. Usually the flap retraction altitude it set on the MDA knob (1000feet agl). Once you cross that, speed knob to 200 to accelerate. Flaps 8 go up at Vt-10 and then speed as needed after 3k agl Thrust reversers are disarmed during the after takeoff flow. You don’t want them armed during cruise. Anti ice on before entering visible precipitation below 10C. Wings and cowls below 230kias and when above 230 just the cowls. Enter your landing elevation on the pressurization controller (top right overhead) and also set your minimums on the MDA or you’ll get the GPWS on short final like you did. Vref speeds for flaps are flap 8- 180kias. Flaps 20- 170kias. “Gear down, flaps 30” is another married call at 160kias. After that you are flaps 45 at whatever Vref the perf gives you on the tablet. Otherwise, great work!

From the dude with the ACDC t-shirt, to the war memorial displays to the ground equipment. All so realistic. As a passenger that has recently flown from Chicago Midway, the only thing not realistic is the tarmac and runway. In reality it's filthy, most of the markings are covered with dirt and rubber and worn away, barely visible in some heavy traffic areas. A lot of patchwork asphalt repairs and just overall dismal looking airport. This looks like a brand new airport! lol but there's a limit to how much realism is too much

Added in editing. FSRealistic might be the mod you're looking for once the SDK allows them to have headshake in msfs :)

I'm using an airport mod for Chicago Midway, using AIG traffic for the aircraft traffic, the CRJ-700 I'm using is by Aerosoft, and I walk around the airport and plane using the drone camera. Its a free movement camera where I just hook up a PlayStation controller for the smooth movements and its ease of use. You can look up in control settings to see what the default key bindings are for it :)
