Im honestly liking the inventory you have while in game, but it raises worries for me since I’m on console: ppl on mouse can jus move (or scroll) to their desired item, meanwhile controllers have to tap across that whole grid😵‍💫😨. I’m up for the challenge tho tbh, it can finally teach console players to calm down instead of always pushing gun fights nd then complaining about losing🤣💯. Nd I also saw that arm dynamic they added at 8:06.. I missed seeing our characters do small actions like that🫡

Arena Breakout on mobile had a fantastic economy on the auction house. Auction items were typically 1.5-2x their base cost if they were popular. Often you could snipe base level rifles for amazingly cheap if you were active on the auction menu. It was possible to buy items in the vendors (or swap items for specific loot) and then take them into one raid before selling them double on the auction. There was practically a meta game for F2P players to build high level guns with limited risk. Took longer but was good fun.

If COD had implemented a med system, stash system, market system etc. It would've been a massive change to the genre. They missed the mark by a long shot, and it's too bad. ABI and Delta Force are basically replacing what DMZ should've been.

Also about the armor system and ammo is good cause when you have bad ammo also called dum dum ammo shooting legs and arms is important this game has more things from tarkov than dmz

Its really interesting we have this race to the next big extraction shooter like we had some come out trying to take on tarkov and most of them died right away but now we have this and abi and they are both looking really good

I really hope we get a something that is as good or better than Tarkov. Tarkov is fun to watch and looks fun to play, but I don't think I could ever buy it, seeing how slow the load times and matchmaking are and how unoptimized the game as been since launch. These newer games seem way better with all 3 of those things.

You can but I haven't tried it yet. I think with the fast TTK it's definitely doable if you were sneaky around the edges of the maps, especially if they add that operator with the quiet footsteps and throwing knives

The campaign is a remaster of Delta Force Black Hawk Down and they've said the campaign will be premium content. Meaning the multiplayer and extraction mode are going to be free, but you're going to have to pay to play the campaign.

Armor and Ammo is a key aspect of progression. Having a power imbalance is a key aspect of progression. Without these elements as is, you run into the same problem as DMZ, where there's no progression. It's good that it's setup this way while still maintaining a bit of an arcade feel, and I hope that you guys don't Creator-Privilege feedback this aspect out of the game for everyone else. It's not DMZ, allow it not to be, while keeping aspects of DMZ that worked. Even in DMZ with its super grindy late tier missions, you weren't really progressing anything.

But there's so much progression in this gamebin terms of missions, maps, your base, weapons etc. Im not sure how fun it will be for newer players getting in fights they don't stand a chance in because their bullets don't do enough damage to the other players while they can be one shot

@@GeekyPastimes I'm not sure how much you played Arena Breakout, or if Tarkov does this, but this issue already has a solution for the most part. Even during ABI I never felt like I ran into players that were geared extremely better than me. Sometimes, yes, I did need better ammo, but I won plenty of engagements with cheaper ammo. Tactics wins. In addition to well placed shots. I fought someone in crazy tier 4 gear but he didnt have a facemask, so I just shot him the face lol. There's also things like Beginner-restricted, High Roller lobbies and such to separate tiers of potential engagements.

@@GeekyPastimes Learning about ammo types and armor levels if one of the fun parts of tarkov Going into a raid with good ammo you crafted or found is rly rewarding but also adds value to your loot The issue i had with dmz is i never felt i was progressing through tiers of loot, i drop in with my fully kitted m4 right from the get go and do it all over again, it lacked the excitement of tarkov when you get ur hands on a mk47 with bp ammo etc etc

It will be controller compatible, but not yet. And there's no friendly fire, so no worries about shooting your teammates!

The game seems extremely fun but the operator system is extremely goofy and I don't wish to be fighting my own clones If the developers would remake that mechanic and make you able to customise your own character it would be the cherry on the top for this game

maybe is like in real life where if you have 3A ballistic plates will stop pistol and rifle rounds up to 7.62x39 or 5.56x41 but something like 308/ 7.62x51 or .50bmg will go trough, dunno

I think so, the ai all have quite good loadouts you could steal immediately, and they're quite spaced out so it doesn't seem like it'd be hard to take one down and loot

Im pretty pumped for the alpha its a nice mix of tarkov and dmz....i dont care much for the hero abilities but they dont seem to be too bad the healing one looks the most outrageous as a team of healers can literally camp a spot and rotate keeping themselves healed up and alive camping an extract point but it seems to be reasonable enough to try...i personally dont care for the knockdown grenade burst either but again its realistic enough to not be the end of the world....the armor and ammo i dont have an issue with as its an exctaction game where you are acquiring used gear and some people care for their things more than others as well as buy thungs and never use them so it could be found brand new. The ammo too different brands of ammo are better(more reliable) than others and theres different types of ammo. And lets be honest every fighting game these days has tiers of armor that are progressively better and different ammo types some that are better than others and some that have different effects even.....and lastly on this issue its also part of the challenge and rewards system....like why why do i want to go fight that boss if not for his better gear that will improve my odds? And once weve done the work and built up the money why wouldnt you buy the better gear? If war breaks out tomorrow morning you as a youtuber have a decent amount of money no? Would you go buy the cheapest gear possibly to protect yourself or would you aks the guy seling it whats the best you got?

it's worth noting that healers can only heal hp with that gun, not bleeding or things that require surgery, and once you lose your armour you can be taken out in a shot or two anyway, so it really doesn't cause much of a problem.

Feel like the actual extraction should have a bit more grandeur than a simple countdown. You want to feel a sense of drama when escaping the map but overall looks good. Us DMZ players have been starved for too long

I think some of your criticisms are valid, like the economy, but I wasn't a huge fan of your take on dying in game I get not waiting to sit in a game and watch your team play but that's kinda the whole point of a br/ extraction shooter is dying it's the same reason I don't like warzone if I wanted to play a team death match I would just go play a team death match I think being able to get revived twice when you die die is a good middle ground because if you can just be revived indefinitely there is no fear in dying as long as your teammate hides in a corner and lives he can get you back up that's the problem with warzone and dmz I have no fear of death because I know as long as my teammate has the money or just waits for the team to leave in the case of dmz I can just come back indefinitely

But in an extraction shooter you can still fear death because the people who killed you can take all of your stuff, so even if you get revived you still lost a lot, that happened in DMZ all the time. It just means you're actually playing instead of spectating

@GeekyPastimes that's a fair point, but I would like to argue that while I die and lose some gear, yes, I can just get revived and go and hunt the team that killed me down how long does it take to be revived in dmz like 25 seconds 30? While it feels like a long time in reality, it's not. Let's also say that I'm the only one to die. I still have 2 other decked out teammates, so who's to say I can't get up high on a tower or building, find the team, and just parachute over there and while that's a perfect scenario yes that's usually what happens I can just have a teammate hide in a corner and revive me indefinitely while people Don't like sitting on a screen and watching their team play that just comes with the territory of battle royals and extraction shooters

Anyway, this one isn’t as Arcady as COD, has a better looting/inventory system, no goofy characters or celebrities, all the necessary essentials for an extraction shooter. The only thing dmz had that was cool is the helicopter extraction and that’s about it.

I honestly really feel mixed, the Extraction Mode looks the more tactical experience I expect from Delta Force but the PvP MP Havoc Warfare looks like a CoD style run and gun on smaller BF style maps. This feels like they're just listening to various focus groups and influencers to make a platform to appeal to the 'mass market'.

It doesn't feel like it. Somehow Arena Breakout felt like a mobile game all the time, the movement and shooting was so loose. The core mechanics of this feel really solid. I guess the graphics are kind of similar because they're both more colourful than COD/Tarkov?

I can’t say if it feels similar until I try delta force, but just from a watching it perspective they are quite similar

@@acberkowitz it's a bit different, arena is a bit more realistic (for example, it doesn't show hit markers) and slower gameplay, it is also more punitive I believe. Arena also has good and hydration, something not present here. Delta Force is more arcade-y, faster movements, faster shooting, abilities and such. As someone else said, it's a more polished lost light

Keep the movement or make it slower tbh slow down the gameplay a little I like all the ammos and tiers of armors and stuff That’s what DMZ lacked was the depth and all that stuff tarkov has I’m definitely gonna be playing this and arena breakout infinite DMZ just has no incentive anymore imo
