this new op is absolutely going to murder any from of balance this game had. From what this video is showing, he is completely OP. Whoever thought the grappling hook would be a good idea should be fired because it's a terrible idea and even a worse game mechanic to have that thing be pulling other players regardless of team. Whoever thought of putting the shield on your back and becoming a turtle was a good idea should also be fired because that shit was removed from cod (or at least heavily nerfed) for a reason, it was stupid and made for a shit gameplay mechanic. This op is just dozer from BF2042 on literal steroids and is a terrible idea from the very design down to the mechanics. I said what I said, DO NOT release this op in this state.

The new operator is not as broken as everyone thinks. Shield mounting is the ultimate skill of this operator. Shooting is not allowed during shield activation. Deploying and disabling shields both take a few seconds, and during this period, it will significantly slow down himself, making him impossible to quickly switch between shield mounting and gun shooting. Once the shield is turned off during the activation period, it will enter a very long CD. During the shield activation, the glass window in front of the head can be shattered by a gunshot, and once shattered, the player can deal damage by decapitation. The rope of the grappling hook can be damaged by shooting. Wire mesh can be destroyed by explosives, gunfire, and melee weapons hitting its core. Shield strikes will knock down enemies that have not been knocked down, but cannot cause damage. They can only deal damage to enemies that have already been knocked down, but it also requires several shield strikes to kill. And one shield strike will consume a lot of physical energy, usually using 3 to 4 shield strikes will consume a full grid of physical energy. The operator will move the shield away from the front when aiming with a grappling hook or receiving a flash. Most players in the test server are facing robot players, which is why the new operator looks very broken.

Short range of hook (for example 3-4m) and only walking mode with the shield (but less cool-down) and/or ap rounds in warfare to pierce the shield (if you can run with it). Otherwise it will kill balance of the game. Who will want to fight walking tanks?

This operator will be meh~ in most of warfare maps. Seems like hook is slow af to shot. The granade is a gadget and can be destroyed (like sonic traps). The shield is "the ultimate" so long cd and last seconds also you can aim to the cristal (head) and destroy it. The shield probably wont protect you from vyron explosives, Luna arrow, Uluru rocket..., also you need 2 hits to kill an operator with shield, in any other case than 1v1 you will be dead because to hit with shield you expose yourself... In operations, he will be good, but maybe the shield will have a long long time CD. But still Stinger-Luna-Hackclaw are the GOATs Too much crying at comments... seems like high skill issue from players

Both should attach to the shield like they attach to vehicle Luna electric arrow should damage the shield user, forcing him to turn off his ultimate His shield should be able to be destroyed with multiple at4 shot (1/2), and he need to wait for his ult to recharge before the shield are respawned again on his back

I think the biggest thing is how much health does that window on the shield have, since it can be destroyed, if not a lot I can deal with it since it just means focus on headshots and he might go down quick, if it has a lot or a high armor value I can see him geting a nerf quick.

BF + extraction + 3v3v3 + campaign + coop modes, DF is already the best FPS I've ever played. Add a traditional COD Zombie mode (kino der toten vibes) + a little effective BR, and it will become THE ULTIMATE fps of the decade. People are tired of COD's multi-colored magic zombies, there's a huge market share up for grabs. I think Timi studio is capable of it :)

I see so people many people bitching about the shield but honestly I don't think it's gonna be that op atleast in havoc mode. You are probably be explosive spammed to death, magnetic bombed or get ran over by the tank. Only problem I see is the knock down I guess maybe remove that then it should be fine. Barbed wire I don't know.. could be annoying or just gimmick. Grappling hook in the otherhand again could be a difficult skill shot or just completely broken. Look let's just see how it plays out but honestly I don't think it's gonna be as Overpowered as it seems.

the line of the hook should be breakable by switching to melee and cutting it. Also the player getting hooked should be able to shoot. On that note, I find the game would be much better if it was possible to parachute while shooting.
