I think at the moment Jervalin is probably closest for this specific challenge for actually having done both a Deathless original LASO (i.e. with Envy skull) in one run on both H2 OG / Classic and H2A / MCC. But it's amazing some of the skill on display from all the top players. Rocats's runs have been a marvel; serious skill with the John Wick speed runs especially - a killing machine at speed

You also have to remember it’s single-segment no reloads. The route in cr1tikal’s challenge would look quite a bit different since there are several points in this video’s route where you could just die to enemies deciding to shoot at you

@@Let_em_know it's basically start to finish halo 2 with LASO (minus envy) deathless. I.e. you die, you quit and start again at Cairo Station. No checkpoint saves, or anything. All one life across the whole game. There's a clip of someone doing it on KZbin from a year or so ago but they used the Envy skull.

Speedrunning Delta Halo LASO is one of the easiest LASO speedruns one can do. He’s got skill, but we don’t see how many times he restarts the run due to dying. That LASO challenge is a full playrhrough without dying. I think Rocats would make it to Regret and his run would end

So question from someone who has never even attempted a LASO run - do LASO runs include the 'cheat' skulls like Bandana and Acrophobia? Or just the ones that increase the difficulty? I mean, LASO stands for 'Legendary, All Skulls On', after all. I can see you not flying with Acrophobia, so I'm guessing that those are not included.

The LASO skulls are the skulls which are on the laso playlist for the laso achievements. With all the new skulls getting updated in several games not all skulls are considered part of what is actually allowed to call it a true laso run. So best to check the playlist for that specific game so you know which skills are the actual ones you need to enable and which ones are not used.

I can barely struggle my way through Heroic difficulty on my best days, and that's with at least a half-dozen deaths per level. That's why I admire people who can pull off LASO runs so much, it's so far beyond my skill level.
