I have both the ffp 4.5 to 30 and the sfp 5 to 50 and have found that the ffp is less sharp with less contrast, is this a standard occurrence or maybe a " bad" copy?

I read that the illuminated dot is not daylight visible . Can the illuminated reticle be seen during the daytime on a target that is in the shade? I shoot at a range where targets at distance are in the shade and picking up a fine black reticle is difficult . I am wondering if this dot illuminated will help .
