The way you connect with us, the words and the patience you have explaining again and again the same things and not getting annoyed is what makes you the best teacher and a wonderful human being. You are an inspiration and in a world of superficiality a breath of fresh air. Role model for me and I'm sure for many others, thank you Walt. And screw Venus!

Interesting video, like! A 80 mm ED / APO costs just as much or more than as a Bresser 127/1200 mm f9.4 achromat (430$). But which one is better for visual observations (not for astrophotography) ? The price is practically the same but the aperture difference is huge. I don’t know which one to buy. I would really appreciate your opinion :). Unfortunately there are practically no comparison videos on KZbin between an achromat and APO at similar prices. Thank you!

Hi from the UK again. knew you were somehow in the music industry but hell back late 80s one band was hard enough! (Being a drummer too many buttons scare me )😂 Sounds bloody hard work what you're doing music wise. Vid the other night mentioned you were thinking about Patreon. (Don't always watch stuff in order) SET IT UP. it's allowed a few of the guys/girls I follow over various subjects to actually go full time. Your presentation is top notch. fun, zaney but brilliantly informative. I'll sign up.Thanks again for all the effort you put in, Walt.

Really nice video, it made me think of my own experience with Astrophotography almost 10 years ago. I’m walking towards my second observatory and I still love this hobby. Congrats for the channel and awesome videos. My favorite Astro trip was to Chile to visit some professional observatories. The Atacama desert is stunning.

I very much enjoy your videos. The layed back comedy puts the cherry on top. I checked out your band. I'm definitely fond of the 70's 😊. Those where the days ! I have a nice modest scope, mount etc. Enjoy using the asiair, what a game changer. ZWO fan all the way. Smart telescopes seemed poorly made. A few reviews of the ZWO Seastar peaked my interest. It seems pretty solid tech. I pre-ordered one yesterday. Can have this ready to go when there's no room to travel with the real scope.

Ah Ha... Valley of Dreams. It is my plan to shoot the annular eclipse next month at Valley of Dreams or Bisti Badlands. Yes, somehow I will attempt to include the hoodoos in the annular eclipse images. Can you imagine Alien Throne or the King of Wings in an annular eclipse image?

For my background sounds on personal video's i use a synth that name starts with letter 'O' and ends in sphere. Great sounds. Just wondered if you have tried it? My free time and matching clear nights dont happen either. 🤣 Clear sky's to you.

Thank you Walt for a glimpse into your astro journey, motivation & passion. I'm always looking forward to your videos. I drive an hour and a half to a Bottle 3 location a few times a month when clear nights are forecast to do my astro. I do watch out for snakes but I also have to keep an eye out for wild ducks dive bombing me 😁 Clear skies and happy shooting.

Love your videos man. We have much in common with being artists and gig workers, astro addicts, trying to rebuild after the pandemic. Your sense of humor is a welcome addition to the sometiems rather stuffy astro videos here. We can all use a little more humor in our lives after these past several years of hardhip and division. The work you put into your videos is very much appreciated.
@deltaastrophotography

Yes! The humor is to try to make a very technical subject more fun, but also to find joy in the very difficult last three years. It's been so hard on a lot of us gig workers.

I'm going to try to photograph it with my C11. It's been so cloudy lately I hope it clears up. It's supposed to but that's what the weather said about last night too and it was 100% cloud cover.

I have a old Nikon D3200 with the kits lenses, my question, I should buy lenses for this camera, or upgrade the camera, maybe to a full sensor then buy lenses for this new camera, I don't want waste money in a old camera, and in time see that the old camera fall short, thank you.
@deltaastrophotography
@deltaastrophotography Жыл бұрын
In my personal opinion, lenses are more important than the camera itself. Try getting lenses you can also use with a camera you might upgrade to in the future.
@kanedafx1
@kanedafx1 Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much for your answer, maybe instead lenses I should buy a telescope, I saw one of your videos where your recommendations are around 400~600 dollars range and about another 400$ for a skytracker, I got lost a little bit on the telescope but I will do more searching, maybe with this 2 items I will have better images that what I can get with just lenses.

This was really relaxing to kick back and watch/listen to. I can relate to a lot of the things you were saying, and I suspect many of our journeys started the exact same way yours did. By taking a long exposure in some direction and seeing all the stars showing on the back of the camera. I really liked this video, you're a fantastic storyteller.

Hey, nice Q&A vid. I pretty much echo with the other comments. Yeah, cloudy nights aren't all bad - they also allow you more time to process your images :) Although it does seem it's always completely overcast everytime there is a major astronomical event happening...

Another great video... did wonder about your musical background. Found a video of you guys covering Shine.. Epic! I agree with seeing your first image Andromeda on the back of your camera... If you don't get that "spiritual" sense of wounder at that point, then this hobby's probably not for you and definitely not worth the expense. I did and it is.....
