Thanks for running my favorite hull design, big or small. Apparently, the speed record for an RC boat was set in Germany a few years back with a Hydro L8 speed boat that reached an incredible 206 mph.

@@sjorswouda6865 Most people here have already seen it some time ago i would imagine, especially for anyone who is even remotely into fast RC boats, just thought i would mention it considering that this speed for a toy boat is off the charts. I have attached a 1/10 car spoiler to the back. I have to say it drives really well! The hydro runs much more stable and the steering is super direct. Greetings from Germany😁

Absolutely love these hydroplanes!!! And yes It really is a fun and rewarding hobby, especially if you plan and build (not necessarily from scratch) your own boat. Kits are great, but designing and crafting a hull, sticking in a 1-3/4 horsepower electric motor and sending it across the water at speeds faster literally faster than your average full size leisure boats is almost better than sex. 😬 almost…

I would like to know what the angle of the flex shaft screw should be minimum or maximum I'm rebuilding my Udi rc with a 3860 1850kv and I don't have the space to make my bait run completely flush with the boat hull can you give me a good guideline on how to do this properly? Prop shaft should be Level 0° or .75° down, give or take

I don't know the boat you might take turnfin off & run it, if you do it will end up on the beach & you also won't hit full speed . You need to be saved down in the corner. Good luck with run. Remember, never back out of the throttle.
