I like the concept of Radiola being the ruler of Chapter 3’s world before the tv guy took over, personally. Possibly a reference to “Video Killed the Radio Star” in a more literal-ish sense.

It’s fitting though. Jevil was King’s clown, then he saw the world as a stage and fell into chaos, chaos. Spamton was a profitable sales man, then all his [[Sales]] went down the [[drain]]. Radiola was the ruler, then her show was forgotten due to Mike. All the secret bosses have had some impact from the rulers… Can’t wait to see what (hopefully) comes of Radiola next!

Now this, this makes sense. With chapter 1, Jevil mentioned “a Queen.” Queen ended up being the main antagonist of chapter 2. In chapter 2, Spamton makes mentions of “Mike.” Probably meaning that whoever Mike is, he’ll be the MAIN antagonist, not the secret boss. I think a lot of people think that Mike will be the one to have a weird text quirk or different soul bossfight, but I think that the pattern will continue and the secret boss of chapter 3 will be something no one expects, like this.

In the theme of the secret bosses having arenas based on fairground rides (Jevil had a merry go round and Spamton had a rollercoaster) I think Radiola’s fight would take place in a rundown, partially wrecked roller derby arena, as a reference to Bumper Cars/Go Karts. I’d tie this in by stating that Radiola, before she’d become the previous host with the most, she was the roller derby champion, and now that she knows that she probably doesn’t have much time left (whether that be from her state of disrepair, or her becoming depressed after being told her reality isn’t real by WD Gaster) she decides to go out in a stylish blaze of glory doing what she used to love. Possible soul mechanic: New Orange Soul where you get access to a dash that gives a few invisibility framers and can break through certain colored attacks, tying into the bumper cars theme. Alternatively, the battle would involve the Purple Soul mode which now has a “panic button” that allows you to temporarily go invisible and avoid certain colored attacks, with the caveat that it has a cooldown.

@@hashasquiowo9171 if it’s the Orange Soul, the mantle could be like a Superman cape that allows you to fly forward. If it was the Purple Soul, the Mantle could be an invisibility cloak, or a matador’s cape, where a main gimmick would be her trying to ram you like a bull, with the Shadow mantle allowing you to dodge her charge, causing her to bump into a wall. For the Final Freakout attack, I thought of one for both of the Soul Modes. For the Orange Soul, she would start by driving backwards, before suddenly appearing behind you as the soul box expands out and covers the screen in black, revealing a long, narrow, scrolling soul box. She would then start barreling towards you, forcing you to start fleeing to the right. There would be projectiles flying from the right that you’d have to dodge, as well as obstacles in the box you’d have to either move around or dash through. The attack ends with the box having a dead end before Radiola flies at you at Mach 15, causing the stock explosion that Toby likes to use. For the Purple Soul, the screen would go black before you find yourself on a packed roller derby in the middle of a race, with countless skaters flying at the soul. Some of the skaters aren’t targeting you and can be dodged, but some of them will actively target you and try to run you over, requiring you to go invisible. But if you panic and go invisible too early or on an avoidable skater, you’d be left vulnerable to the next skater trying to ram you. The attack would end with a finish line coming into view, before you’re nearly trampled by a tidal wave of skaters, with Radiola at the front.

Another Idea: If you revisit Chapter 2 after getting the Shadow Mantle in Chapter 3, and go to where Toby runs you over in a kids car, you’ll be able to actually dodge him, leading to a hidden developer room like the one available in Undertale if you manage to dodge all of credits.

I can make out that unintelligible part as actually "Chance to Play" likely the lyrics are a sort of excerpt from a radio game show. Considering how Mike is generally agreed upon to be a tv GAME show host, I wouldn't put it beyond Radiola to have been a radio GAME show host.

While a lot of people say that there will be 7 secret bosses based on the seven Deadly sins (Jevil being pride, and Spamton being Greed), I don’t think this is the case. Toby has mentioned that the 6th and 7th chapters might be extra chapters, which means the main story would then be finished by the end of Chapter 5. Here’s what I think: each secret boss represents a stage of grief. People go through these stages after they go through some kind of traumatic event, such as losing a job, the loss of a loved one, or say, perhaps, a world shattering realization like learning that your world isn’t real. The five stages of grief are denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and finally acceptance. Jevil represents Denial. He had locked himself away under so much denial that he’s gone completely mad. He denies the idea that he isn’t free, to the point that he genuinely thinks that everyone else outside of his locked cage are the ones that are imprisoned. He hurt others in an attempt to prove that his choices matter. While at first glance, you’d think that Spamton represents bargaining, this may not be the case. To me, he represents anger. His anger about how much more success his salesman friends had was why he accepted the strange caller’s deal in the first place. He’s angry about his own failures and misery, but instead of openly admitting that his current situation is his fault, he projects his flaws onto others, blaming other people for his misery. He makes barely any effort to improve himself or put in the hard work to be a [BIG SHOT], instead he constantly either piggybacks off of other people’s success, or tries to scam his way into fame and take shortcuts. When others so much as slightly inconvenience him, he is prone to blowing a fuse. Despite the smile plastered on his face, he is constantly upset and angry, unwilling to admit that he alone is the root cause of his pain. Though, one still could make a very strong argument for him representing Bargaining. He is a salesman, after all. Bargaining means that the one grieving will become desperate to postpone the inevitable, and will be willing to do anything if it means that they don’t have to accept reality. He desperately tries to have people take pity on him through a sob story, he trades away his closest pals just for the satisfaction of being a [BIG SHOT], he even goes so far as to assist in the Snowgrave route so that he can take over and have everything he wants unimpeded. He is willing to trade away all of his morals and ideals if it means just one more dollar, one more day of fame. So, in this fashion Radiola would represent either: -Bargaining/Anger -Misery -Acceptance My personal theory is that she represents acceptance. She seems constantly jubilant, even though she’s basically lost everything. Instead of deluding herself to the point of madness like Jevil, or getting pissed off/desperate like Spamton, she accepted that her predicament is what it is. She’s accepted that she’s out of style, that she’s dying, and that she can’t do anything about it. Instead of trying to deny it or prevent it, she makes the most of her life, why worry about the fact that her world supposedly “isn’t real”? Her choices might not matter, but that doesn’t mean her experiences, actions, and memories don’t matter, as well. She’s fully aware of this futility, and she embraces it. She is an Absurdist, or possibly a Hedonist. She is content with herself, her life, and how she’s lived it. Unlike Spamton or Jevil, she is truly free. She knows the truth, and she doesn’t really care.

actually, seam is acceptance. he blatantly said in his dialogue he knows nothing matters but doesnt care, even saying to "have a drink to the end of the word" (i think). i think radiola would represent bargaining, being out-shined by mike (aka video killed the radio star). mike would be the final boss (like king/queen) of chapter 3, and radiola would be the secret boss (like spamton/jevil). i also feel like chapter 5's secret boss would be, guess who, seam, who represents acceptance. it all fits kinda nicely with the theory that all of the dark world is just a way for kris to accept his parents divorce, with him going through all the stages of grief, having brief visions of acceptance but not being able to understand it until he reaches it.

I’d imagine her deal is that long ago, she looked a bit differently, like maybe having arms and legs. She desperately wants to become famous and get all the recognition she wants, so she approaches Mike to see if she gets the gig to which he quickly says yes. She started appearing in talk shows on the radio and started having big roles in big films, and even started living with Mike. But behind the scenes or even to some more observant viewers things are amiss. Mike starts treating her differently, like she was an object and made to do many minor things for Mike which on the surface seems fine until it starts taking a toll on her. That’s when Mike decided to change her arms and legs to a set of claws and a wheel, because that’s what Mike sees her as, a robot who he has the power to toy with because she wouldn’t defy otherwise. Eventually when she’s about to collapse from all the stress of fame and overall workload, she approaches Mike to give her thoughts on all of this. Mike scolded her to the point of throwing her away into the dump like a common toy you no longer like to play with simply because you had “better toys”. She now roams around the back streets, still wailing and wallowing about how “He’s just blind!” or “He just needs a little kiss on the cheek to remember me!”.

@@cyb0 It's a trouble to answer you because it's nothing special xD I used bitcrusher (distortion) for make it noising, worse quality and filling space (because dynamics of volume of vocal peaks was decreased) and compressor for this thing too. Also I using spectral compressor on everything for making frequencies dynamics smooth and flat, so that the certain frequencies are not knocked out and whistled in the ears. Sorry, i don't know what to say more, it's really nothing special.

@@sinfull_king purpose of shadow mantle wasn't confirmed. It could be to block atacks, but it could have other use. I saw suggestion for orange soul to use it as superman cape and dash. Dark Blue soul could either have a ground pound or hover with cape like super Mario in super Mario world. There might be some use for purple soul, I'm even sure there is, yet i can't think of anything... I hope someone will use their imagination to think of use for it.(the souls are also slightly upgraded. The graze mechanics for red one(yes i know it carries over to others but that how red soul works) and big shot mechanic of yellow soul)

This is pretty good, I like it! I would give a few recommendations. 1. With Radiola's Theme (about 1:20 or so), maybe remix it slightly. If you look at BIG SHOT, it has "Now's Your Chance To Be A"'s beginning theme lightly sprinkled in, but remixed to sound slightly different. My 2nd recommendation is the make the freedom mofit section stand itself out a bit more as that motif (even though I really like your version of it, so you don't have to do this one). Finally, I'd probably use the Freedom motif once, that seems to be the running theme between the secret boss themes. Overall though, I really like the sound of this, captures the character beautifully! Great job, you should be proud :)

I believe what makes a fan song for deltarune/undertale is if its easy to hum in the middle of the day after hearing it once, if a song's too complicated to play in your head it wont be memorable, and a lot of toby fox's songs are recognizeable. and this song has passed the test ive been thinking bout it for a good bit now :D

Definitely seeing aspects of Undyne in there, which makes sense, given the pattern that Spamton has started, or at least suggested. Not that Spamton is the first or only Darkner counterpart to a Lightner that we have, but he is the first of them to be a secret boss, with the appropriate SOUL Mode to boot.

I like this idea a lot due to the radio theming, and seeing as chapter 3 will have some TV theming, it goes with the saying, "The video killed the radio star" which ties in nicely with the discarded theme of the secret bosses. (Jevil being a joker card which is commonly left in the box and Spamton being a spam/scam email)

One thing that I find people get inaccurate when trying to design Deltarune sprites is that they look too good. If you look at official designs, they tend to have very limited colour palettes, virtually no gradients or modelling, and use simple two-frame animation cycles; as well as looking kinda wonky at times, if I'm being honest. Point is, Radiola looks great.

I own a radio, this is similar to what it sounds like cause the dial is kinda loose and the channels are so close to each other that you can sometimes hear two at once, and when the dial isn't wiggling around, if you make one wrong move your listening to multiple channels anyway because of some signal thing I don't entirely understand, but basically there's some invisible borders lining which channels you get and where that if you cross or get too close to one your entire channel set on thay radio is different.

Honestly, i not want to make lyrics more audible (if I understand you correctly), because: 1. I can't make it enough harmonic or melodic, so I little hide it for make its wrong frequencies not affect on whole song part harmonically. 2. It will destroy a possible mystery of lyrics, likewise in BIG SHOT, where nothing can be understanded because in deep of song and people make some theories about this. About "Jevil motif", if you mean (THE WORLD REVOLVING 0:20 and BIG SHOT 0:55), then it already in, it's 0:29 and 1:52, but i decided change it a little and save main skeleton of melody. Toby made this too in BIG SHOT in comparison with THE WORLD REVOLVING, but not so visible, and here I made it more unique.

I like the idea of her being a radio bot that asks for your help on being "the same" as the "others" since she was a malfunctioning robot. She was your regular radio robot host, but one day a stranger came up to her and told her she was not unique, this prompted her to try and be different in the most insane ways, leading to the higher-ups shutting her down entirely. And soon video entertainment took over. She gets your help but you end up "accidentally" crushing her, and with this she realizes she'll never be the same again... she embraces this and decides to go psycho and take the only thing that could make her happy again. Kris' soul, so they can reach the light world and be the host for the radio for the internet outage'd hometown, and this time, do it the official way. At the end you break her to pieces and she turns into an item blah blah. But the twist was that there were multiple radio bots, and she was the one different. Who was shut down. Being forgotten benefitted her, as when video entertainment took over, the other bots were entirely scrapped.
