you don't know how much i owe to this mashup. when i came across this i was sort of going through a rough patch with a take of chapter 3 i am working on, specifically the design for the secret boss. i was unsure of what direction to push it towards, i was jealous of other creators seemingly having it all figured out. i wanted to create so bad but i'd always fail. but i put this on and suddenly everything clicked. honestly not only are these 2 separate tracks incomplete without each other, i think i'd be incomplete without this mashup too. thank you plasma.

Despite what The Joker & Squimpedo McGroomis did, I still enjoy Flowery as a character (Yes, I’m aware that Bep_Celeste created Flowery) and I still enjoy any song made for the character, regardless of the song’s creator or creators. When it comes to “Speak No Evil”, I separate the Art from The Artist. Same goes for “Skating Towards Heaven” for Brandal & any other song (Unless it has lyrics alluding to the creator’s crimes). Something about the drawing that said “OH COME ON KRIS! TELL THEM.” really fits Flowery as a character. I would honestly love to see Flowery, Petaly, Brandal, The Ice-E Cube, Camilla, Rook, Screepto, & any other Deltarune Chapter 3 OC in one big mural. (Ik that’s a really random thing to bring up, but I just thought it’d be cool).

I actually didn't know this before doing some research, but apparently it comes from a Swedish rock album with the same name. I know this is where it comes from as it's first track is named "See No Evil," another Flowery song from what I've heard.

It's a pun. Pantomime is a style of entertainment used by, fittingly, mimes- communicating actions and emotions through nothing but gestures, not saying a single word. Combine this with the word "phantom", or ghost, and you get Phantomime- Flowery is a metaphorical ghost, an entertainer for an audience that is not just gone, but was never even there. His only audience is you, the player- and, as he's a character in a play, he can't outright acknowledge the truth that he knows. So he can only pantomime it- he keeps up the act at all costs, but he knows he's just an actor in a play that has to come to a close.
