There was something like that a while ago with a few bombers but one of them crash into another while flying in formation and killed a few people so the FAA made regulation against that type of formation (I can't exactly remember the regulation, just my CFI telling me about it). Here's a toast to the host Of those who love the vastness of the sky, To a friend, we send a message of his brother men who fly. We drink to those who gave their all of old, Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold. A toast to the host of men we boast, the Army Aircorps! Off we go into the wild blue yonder, Climbing high into the sun; Here they come zooming to meet our thunder, At 'em, boys, Give 'er the gun! (Give 'er the gun now!) Down we dive, spouting our flame from under, Off with one helluva roar! We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey! Nothing will stop the Army Aircorps! Salute to the WW2 Army Aircorps!

Hail to thee o wonders of the sky! Sailing about among the clouds in life and the heavens as you are now resigned. Your endeavors are not forgotten and never shall be. (Verse I) Off we go into the wild blue yonder, Climbing high into the sun; Here they come, zooming to meet our thunder, At 'em boys, Give 'er the gun! (Give 'er the gun, now!) Down we dive, spouting our flame from under Off with one helluva roar! We live in fame or go down in flame. Hey! Nothing'll stop the Army Air Corps! (Verse II) Minds of men fashioned a crate of thunder, Sent it high into the blue; Hands of men blasted the world asunder; How they lived God only knew! (God only knew, then!) Souls of men dreaming of skies to conquer Gave us wings, ever to soar! With scouts before and bombers galore. Hey! Nothing'll stop the Army Air Corps! (Verse III) Here's a toast to the host Of those who love the vastness of the sky, To a friend we send a message of his brother men who fly. We drink to those who gave their all of old Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold. A toast to the host of men we boast, the Army Air Corps! (Verse IV) Off we go into the wild sky yonder, Keep the wings level and true. If you'd live to be a grey-haired wonder Keep the nose out of the blue. Flying men, guarding the nation's border, We'll be there, followed by more! In echelon we carry on. Hey! Nothing'll stop the Army Air Corps!

Can you help? I am looking for a Post-war Theatrical movie about the Army Air Corps, Bomber Pilots, over Europe. It was filmed about 1956 to 1962 and PROMINENTLY featuring the Army Air Corps version of the Air Force song. The film was in black and white. I watched it with my Dad (an Air Corps Veteran) when it first came out and have not heard of it since.

@@jason60chev It was almost certainly one of his arrangers. By this time he was effectively a kind of CEO of the morale unit where his orchestra was the core. However he usually kept at least one finger in the pie as a consultant and editor for various arrangements. I was deeply honored to know Norm Leyden during the last few years of his life so I have info direct from one of the AAF Orchestra's chief arrangers.
