We’ve come full circle with earthbound and undertale Dr andonuts: basically you’re killing an innocent man who has nothing to live for anymore but yet fueled by rage at what you’ve done Sans: you killed his brother during the genocide route and every single monster. Fueled with revenge and judgement,he was gonna give you a bad time…hell,worse than that Paula: you killed Ness of all people. Her kindness got him killed by Kris and the gang in the obliteration route. Fueled by regret,she takes a final stand to stop Kris and co.

Andonuts its innocent lmao, he literally created multiple monsters one of which killing a little girl's parents. The actual problem was Varik going into his magicant to kill him instead of just deciding to kill him in the lab. It was pointless, Varik gets nothing out of it.

Sans isn't fueled by revenge... He just stepped in because we reached the point where we are an actual threat to the world and he can't ignore it anymore. Sans makes an educated guess in that our motivation is curiosity, and tries to make the "anomaly" give up, and even to awaken sentimentality in us.

Paula using Starstorm is one of the moments that hit hardest, because Starstorm is one of the rarest spells in all of MOTHER. Ninten and his crew couldn't access it at all. Poo had to do focuses training for a substantial period of time to achieve it. Kumatora had to go through a trial by fire to get it, so to speak. But here? Paula was able to unlock it through nothing but _sheer rage._

I'm convinced this is by far the best version of megalovania. It carries So much more power and emotion than the first 3 versions toby made. While the Undertale one is a great battle song this one really has a tragic undertone that really elevates the song. Very fitting for a battle to decide the fate of the world. It was definitely the perfect song to depict a clash between the Mother and undertale games.
