Hm... did you catch the part where Mikoto says that all the bosses you fight are miss-shaped meshups of your former allies? That every boss is two or three actuall persons? Also, the weapons they hold are the first or third stage of the ShB relics :)

2:18 The “main creator” of Ivalice was actually the writer of the Save The Queen plotline! To my knowledge he came onto 14 to do the STB alliance raids, and then got to do Bozja for SHB because of how well received the raids were by the community.

To answer your question about the dots near the end of the video. you need to be X spaces away from the square you start on when the spell finally triggers. the hard part of that mechanic is both making sure your x spaces away from your start point and not going to get hit by the knights after they move (they do a + pattern from where they end. they show you with dots how far they are going to move)

Oh no, my ears photobombed XD Great running with you guys! (When we were forming up I was in B, but Bozja doesn't like playing by your pretty number games) Since people can (and often do) queue without parties, it's very likely to have many single players in that duty. Therefore, a lot of parties form up *within* the instance itself, much like they do at Critical Engagements in the Southern Front itself. It wasn't until Eureka and Bozja I saw so many "/shout LFG! [player job here] [Instance's version of FATE here]" or "/shout rez please [coordinates]") I am also very proud of you guys! You petty much understood most of what killed you. :)

final fantasy 12 uses what it calls the "active dimension battle system" it basically combines the ability to move around at will with the ATB system of older FF games. you can move and give your own commands at any time and they activate once the ATB has filled to max, the attack command repeats infinatly unless you give a different order. It also has the Gambit system where you have a list of skills and conditions for them. like "If ally 70% HP or below cast Cure" or "if enemy HP 100% use steal". it has loads of If conditions dealing with everything from HP % to status effects to taking advantages of weaknesses. the order they are in effects priority so have to work out the best orders.

The only thing I always feel sad about for streamers is that, because you take in your viewers, you're always getting paired with high level groups that know mechanics and you can follow their lead a bit. Content like alliance raids, normal raids, this are very different when you have like 75% of the group doing things right, 25% not and you don't know who you can trust! Hope you get to do some of these things in roulettes/off stream so you get to experience chaos!

You want to talk about losing mettle? Rank 25 players lose about 62000 mettle per death, and returning instead of being rezzed costs you 5 times that. Doom in delebrum reginae is coming from the 'twice come ruin' debuff the fights apply with stuff you can dodge. If the debuff hits 2 stacks, it becomes doom

you mentioned your first mmo: mine was Earth and Beyond (by Westwood... killed and buried by EA after their purchased). I miss it dearly as it scratched so many of the right itches. I did play Galaxies for a while and enjoyed the social aspect of being a performer in it

Love his raid... but i miss the days it was popular... now its hard to get a party of 8 for it. but when it was popular in a full raid you might get moments like... "uhm am i the only tank here? guess ill lead" and that's the time i really felt like a boss the most XD

Now, for a real challenge, try Delubrum Reginae Savage! All the same bosses plus some new ones, combinations of mechanics that are several times more severe, specific combinations of Lost Actions needed to handle specific challenges, and more. I've had groups that wiped on the trash before the first boss and couldn't go on. It's a real challenge, but I actually found it quite fun.

The southern front quartermaster can trade clusters 1 for 1 on the fragments that contain each roles pure essence and an extra action, you can also buy the fragment for perception (i.e. locate the traps in DR) and trade 5 clusters at a time for the reraise action's fragments

I never got to complete this and it turned me off on Bozja forever. The best I got was 8 people, 6 of which had no "special actions" activated, likely because the game doesn't show you how to use them or what ones are advisable. It took an hour and a half to get to the third boss. We couldn't make the DPS check and the group fell apart. The next day I waited in queue for 45 minutes with no group and gave up permanently. No matchmaking and stupid gimmicks make this a non starter for me.

It's easy to get a group for this in the party finder, 8 is plenty, but I've completed it with only 4 a few times
