I love how everything is just functional on the Nissan. It's basic, but everything is mostly logically laid out with no gimmicks or superfluous frills. It's entirely utilitarian and robust and that vibe is a major component of its style and charm. There's nothing intrinsically wrong with the Rover. But if you clip a panel, you know that it's going to ruin the aesthetic, whereas the Nissans overall aesthetic would probably be enhanced by signs of wear and tear as a utterly utility vehicle.
