My take on the 77 Turbo wasn’t that it was well bought, but that the two that previously sold were well sold. Great cars (I owned a 76 from new), but $300K seems high to me. If listed next summer, I guess we’ll see.

Btw - the alfaholics’ gtv is the singer of Alfas! If this car is advertised in the UK, it will fly! Even as a LHD car, global alfistis will bid it out of sight. That car produces 230hp and weighs less that a ton… and with alfaholics upgrades will handle and run like a champion!
@bidnerdsАй бұрын
Seems like an insult to Singer. Their attention to detail is atrocious don't you think?
@davidmorais2394Ай бұрын
@@bidnerds no insult to Singer! And yes totally different restorations / rebuilds / reimaginations - but Alfaholic rebuilds are as good as they get for Alfistis.

Wow! The 930 is a really good buy. But it’s also a sign of the times and perhaps not the right time for the right type of buying class for this car. If it’s bought by an investor, expect it back on the market at the right time and in front of the right buyers. Or an astronomical private sale?
@bidnerdsАй бұрын
When do you think it will be the right time again?
@davidmorais2394Ай бұрын
@@bidnerds hard to tell. I’m watching the UK market for a rhd 993 C2S and I see some softening but not across the board. 993’s are still hot. Too hot! The 930 which you featured is in a class of its own but generally prices for the older aircooled 911’s are lower. I’m watching and waiting. UK budget, US elections, or even longer wait before sellers bring down asking prices. Could see a slide over the next 6-12 months.

I think you stated the 964 RS has a CA title, that is pretty much impossible given CA laws. CarFax shows a registration in FL and now in Montana. The front of the car has a bunch of scrapes underneath and the few paint meter readings kind of point to the car having a repaint. The photos on the listing are pretty bad. The presentation alone will hurt the car. smh
@BarryintheMАй бұрын
The Carrera RS N/GT looks to have high paint meter readings. There are a couple of them for sale in Europe for 200/300k euros. This is not a $600k car. It was probably someone's track rat at one point. Great car but I think they purposely kept this one away from BAT or Sotheby's as they would have eviscerated it. It was previously sold by Elfersport and then Zweck

Good intel. What do you think it will bring now that it IS on BaT?

@@bidnerds I know this is too late but I text ny buddy $450k and have the receipts. I wasn’t far off. Good deal for all involved long term, they aren’t making anymore of them!

A 77 turbo is one of the biggest snooze fest cars you can drive for 300k. Seriously those cars are not that good at all. 4 speeds. Tons of lag. Low power. It's pretty lame. I know that blasphemy but most haven't driven one
@bidnerdsАй бұрын
Hard to agree that they are lame. Maybe tame by today's standards, but still crazy fun to drive.

@@bidnerds I know. It's just because everyone is Porsche crazy. But if you go back to like 2005 and read about what people thought of those cars. It's slow soft expensive to keep oil in it. A ropey interior covered in carpet. The Porsche tinted sunglasses everyone wears now is insane. and when you rope in several hundred thousand dollars... it's just meh... And I love me some some Porsche. Hell I have 2. Regardless. Love your show and I tune in every episode. Keep up the great work. It is very entertaining

What does the value of a collector car have to do with being a snooze fest or not?
