Richard Lindley is an academic geriatrician with an interested in stroke, aphasia and clinical trials. He is based at the University of Sydney, with 2 days a week in clinical practice (acute geriatric medicine, stroke and rehabilitation). He and some colleagues have recently challenged some established views on dementia and in this seminar he will outline why the medical research community might have gotten it wrong, what the implications may be for aphasia management, and what could be the way forward.
