A non biased comment on team lakay fighters. They are awesome at what they do best and that's explosive unorthodox striking. Yes their grappling and take down defense have improved over the years but when faced against "chain wrestlers and methodical submission specialists (i.e. Aoki and Bibiano) they always seem to fall short. Non the less they are great fighters, certainly one of the top in SEA and im hoping they would be able to close the gap in their submission game in the near future Congrats Lakay!

@@kubatomczyk1801 Team Lakay are made out of Wushu specialist first and foremost, they have no wrestling experience, and even now there are no experts trainers, just them training among themselves and sharing knowledge among team mates from victories or defeats, that's how they improve slowly but surely, I think team Lakay will develop their own MMA system not far from the future just from trying and failing and learning without help from the experts.

kingad did very well, demetrius did his thing with the takedowns(which was expected) but nothing else. kingad did more significant damage and did very well on the ground.

Congratulations to DJ but Kingad showed his amazing potential. I would even say kingad's striking was better. To team lakay tho when will they learn. I still support them but it has been the CONSTANT weakness that theyve been exposed to. I hope they can have a legit training camp with foreign bjj and wrestling partners. They can scrap no question but theyve been scouted by all the camps in asia already and other camps have figured them out. We win or we learn. Hmmmm it sounded great at first but its becoming like an escape expression from the scrutiny of reality. Godbless

Theyre doing their best (and we don't see it all) but pls take note abt their financial struggles as well. Hiring coaches are way beneficial for them but how abt the other matters related to it. Most have good things to point out but we're only looking on one area. Some things are not under their control, so they just improvise.

@@nyltanilep7659 i will ALWAYS respect and appreciate the development of team lakay but again they are at the top of the world stage.. they also have to understand that they are held at a higher standard and nothing less.. i would be more considerate of these setbacks...but it has been a glaring weakness for 5-6 years already...its been there since the inception of ONE and even before that... they are still my heroes for they represent our people but we also have to be blunt yet constructive in voicing out our concerns(not bashing). Thank you
